These people are the best. They are helpful and genuinely care about customer service. I have lived in VaHi for 13 years, and they helped me and my dad stock my first apartment with essentials for maintenance and care. Over a decade later, I am there at least 2-3 times a month buying different plants, holiday decorations, getting keys made, buying office maintenance and cleaning supplies, items for some craft projects, etc. It is a small place, but they have what you need almost always. The garden section has really grown, and is my favorite little place to go on a lunch break. I like going here rather than the giant hardware mega stores. The people are cool, and yes can be busy sometimes (as a good business should be). But they are always ready to help. Miss the kitty that used the be there!

Since the East Atlanta Ace Hardware closed its doors Ive been making a point to drive out of my way (actually past a big box store) to patronize the little guys. I typically get very good service here, which is awesome because Im a SAHD and always have my toddler son in tow. Shopping with a toddler can lower your patients for poor service a bit. After spending five (actually five) minutes trying to collect some nuts and bolts for a project with my squirmy boy and barley getting a hello from one employee (?) I left empty handed. Didnt get a word from the employees standing behind the counter on my way out either. Yes Im probably blowing this out of proportion a little, but whats the point of going to a mom & pop for a big box service experience?

ok i cant count the # of times they have saved my butt on a repair project but this last time they went above and beyond what any one could expect, the helpfulness of the staff is the standard all other retailers should aspire to, and their selection though the store may look small is massive. if youve been turned away empty handed by the big box stores then these guys will be your salvation.and trust me you will actually like coming into this store. everytime i go to lowes or HD its 30 mins minimum and a 50/50 shot at finding what im looking for, but everytime i come here im on my way in 5 to 10 minutes tops and i always get what im looking for. Need help finding something just ask.

Small town Hardware Stores are great! Personal service from people who know what your thinking even though you cant describe it in the proper Tech terms. Couldnt find that "hard to describe" plumbing fitting at Home Depot a couple of miles away from here. These guys combined a couple of fittings to do the same thing. Of course, this small Hardware store cant compete on price with Home Depot, but they make up for it on quick knowledgeable service and a lot of small parts you cant find at Home Depot.

I seriously love this place. My mailbox got destroyed by a school bus and needed to be replaced. Instead of hiring someone to do it for a premium price, the very kind salesman at ACE talked me into doing it myself. He showed me everything I would need, told me exactly how to do it and he was spot on. Now I have a beautiful new mailbox (at a FRACTION of the cost) and a new skill! Thank you ACE hardware!

I was impressed to find that the neighborhood hardware store has one of the best garden centers around! It looks small, but they pack a great selection of really healthy plants into the room they have. They had a better selection of herbs than the much larger Pike location nearby. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I will make this my garden supply stop!

Not the best Ace location in this part of Atlanta, rather small, with limited inventory, items are often out of stock. The staff largely appears willing to help, yet are not particularly knowledgeable, especially when compared with other Ace locations. Accessibility and parking are not very good, given the traffic congestion in Virginia-Highlands.

Ordinarily this place is helpful and its a decent experience but today it was no pleasant at all. No one even acknowledged my existence and when I checked out the cashier was not at all friendly. She also did not acknowledge my existence either. To say the least this ace hardware experience was no good. So now Im going to Lowes

I called on the phone to see if they had latex tubing. YES. Well, the employee is an idiot and thinks vinyl=latex. OK, the common person may not know the difference, but if you work at ACE, you should. Waste of an hour-long bike trip. Well, not really--I stole some zip-ties to fix my problem of having some too-big latex tubing.

Rude staff that doesnt want to help their neighborhood customers. Midtown Ace has their act together, I advise to take your business there where they really care that youve been helped and wish a great day. This place is a disgrace to their own motto, "Ace, The Helpful Place".

I always love shopping for their variety of plants. Its also really easy to get lost in all the fun and quirky items they sell, as well as coming in for tools. Anything you need, you might be able to find here. The staff is also pretty helpful and welcoming.
