I don’t normally right reviews but I’m sorry Natalie ‘YOU WERE DISHONEST WITH ME’. After making a few phone calls I ended up calling this store. I said I had some gold to sell and was interested in how much they were paying. She hee-hawed around asking was any of it estate jewelry because she would pay more. I said I didn’t believe so, that I thought most of it was scrap. She then asked well how much of it do you have. I said about 295 penny weights of 14k (which was all measured out by another jeweler) along with the weights I had in 18k and 10k and just wanted to know what she would pay. There was some silence, than she came back and said ‘I’ll pay 85% of market value’. I said are you sure? And she said you bring me 295 penny weights and I will pay. Well I get to her store and the first thing I want to do is agree on a price of 85% for that day’s rate. She writes down 85% for that day’s rate so to me we were off to a good start. Well I do my calculations in grams and she does her calculations in penny weights. We are off by around $700.00 dollars for the 14k. I asked how she got her figures. She then starts explaining that the content of gold for 14k which is 58.3 percent isn’t really 58.3 percent when they melt it so she dropped the gold content down by 1.3 percent and was using 57 percent in her calculations. No big deal, I’ll do the same and maybe it’s true but I’m not going to fuss over the extra gold content not being calculated. She also tells me that because I’m doing my calculations in grams it’s not going to be the same in penny weights. Garbage…I had all my weights converted in grams, penny weights and ounces on a spreadsheet in my phone. I could take any of these and convert them in whatever weight she wanted at gold prices in these weights and still come up with the same price in penny weights. She didn’t want to hear that and said I was confusing her, when in truth she was trying to confuse me. So using penny weights I multiply the 85% (rate*295)*.57…and we are still off by $600+ dollars. So I proofed her wrong and the next thing I hear from her, it’s mostly domestic gold. What the HELL! At that point I’d heard enough. I don’t care how long you have been in business lady. Some people may trust you because they can’t see the difference. I don’t think by any means you are ‘HONEST’.

First off, Im guessing the "5 Star Reviews" on here are FAKE. No part of my experience in dealing with Estate Jewelers at Buckhead comes close to that. Heres my problem with this "business" : 1) When I call a business during normal hours of the business week, I EXPECT someone to answer the phone. I called, the phone rang....& kept ringing....& kept ringing...until I hung up. Seriously? Its 2012 people, if you dont have call waiting or an answering service, how can you call yourselves a "business"?! 2) I gave it 5 minutes & tried back : AMAZING! Someone answered! However, SHE was not so enthused to talk to a potential customer, as a matter of fact, she was annoyed. Again: how do expect to run a "business" if you dont like dealing with people? 3) When I inquired about what percentage they paid for a solid .999 oz coin of silver - SHE WOULDNT GIVE ME A DIRECT ANSWER!! Look, its established that gold buying companies here in Atlanta offer to pay a percentage of that metals spot price on any given day - thats how precious metals buying works!, DUH! She hemmed & hawed about how much would I bring in, and the more I brought in the higher the percentage they would pay for my coins. Sorry, you dont play pricing games on the phone with potential customers, especially when you may not have any idea how much they may be bringing to sell (let alone the FACT that a happy customer will typically do business with you again, if their experience is good - NOT IN THIS CASE!!) She finally tells me theyll pay around 70% of spot price. Seriously?? Why would I do business with you if I know the majority of gold buyers in Atlanta pay at least 90% of the spot price?? Needless to say, I didnt do ANY business with Estate Jewelers at Buckhead. Who would want to? Go ahead if youre desperate & ignorant. As for me, I will NEVER do business with anyone who doesnt appreciate their (potential) customers. Good luck with your "business", Estate Jewelers at Buckhead. Youll need it.

Im not going to sit here and waste much more time on this company by writing a review. I brought in some gold jewelry a few months ago to see what I can get for it and was told that I would be able to get 95% of spot when I asked over the phone. I didnt fully do my homework until after I made the 30 minute trip to sell my gold and found out I was actually only offered 65%. I called back that same afternoon and was told "Oh...we would pay 95% if you had over 50 pennyweight (75 grams) of gold". Ok...fair enough. Fast forward a few months later, I now have 50 pennyweight. I once again called to confirm and was told "yes" to the 95%, however, they wanted me to come in because they didnt feel comfortable giving me a quote over the phone. Uh huh. So made the 30 minute trip out there (supposedly worth it because of the amount of good I had) only to find myself being offered 65%...again. I was shocked and asked in a truley polite tone "What happened to the 95%?". The response I got: "Oh...we pay 95% spot for gold coins...". Total, and utter crap. Total bait and switch on the services. Were they nice (as they were lying through their teeth)? Yes. And Im sure their craftsmanship is superb. But their practice is shameful. I dare them to dispute this review.

Natalie and her husband are wonderful and fair people to deal with. They paid my 25% more than anyone else I went to for a quote! Go to ATL Gold Buyers to trade in your gold and coins and you will not regret it. Also ATL Gold Buyers carries a wonderful selection of jewelry in their shop and Natalie also designs jewelry with the stones that she will give you that she takes out of your gold jewelry.

Very happy to have found this shop on my first gold selling experience. They are open on Sunday, so I was able to come in, and luckily was waited on right away. I was offered a fair price, was able to keep my stones, and was paid in cash on the spot. They even offered me something to drink and a piece of cake! Altogether a surprisingly pleasant way to complete a tranaction I had been dreading.

I dont usually write reviews but dealing with Estate Jewelers was such a pleasure I felt obligated. Most places dont keep their word on percent of spot values and it shows such a great example of integrity when they do, something hard to find in todays deviant society. Thank you Natalie for such a pleasurable experience will be back for sure!!!
