I have a vendor who is using Peninsular Lumber for cement pilings that are used to support above ground houses. I dont know much about he process and how they are installed or made. We have had to repair two houses. The first house we ordered these and they take several days for the cement to cure before they can sell them. On the first house we paid in advance for them and they sold them to someone else. We finally got them 42 days later. The other house we are trying to repair has a nice family living in it. The vendor had ordered them and paid. Peninsular Lumber Supply CO sold them on this house twice to other vendors. Now my vendor isnt a bad person. They did apologize but that doesnt help us out as they tenants still need their home repaired. The money we put on account should be paid interest. Just horrible. The Sales manager could express enough that she is the sales manager. I asked to speak to the owner or someone with the authority to really explain this situation that has happened. I believe the owner is a coward and un able to speak with a customer who is being treated poorly. You would think he would like to hear about how a customer has been treated by selling a product 3 different times with it being paid. I highly recommend you consider a different company to work with for the cement pilings. Maybe they should stick to lumber.

On 5/30/17 I went to Peninsular lumber to shop for an exterior door. I found a profile I liked and asked if it was available without any wood components. I was told that there was wood in it, but that it was "buried in the door as reinforcement" and that there was "no way" water could get to it. I ordered the door with rot-proof composite jambs and explained how i wanted it to swing. When I went to pick it up the swing was backwards. The manager apologized and said they could fix it within a few days. Today I went to pick up the fixed door. I told the associate helping me I wanted to open the door to inspect it but was told it wouldnt open because it was nailed shut. When I got it home and pried out the nails to open it I found the entire cross-section of the door (top and bottom) was exposed, unprimed, unpainted particle board and wood. Not at all what I was told Id be getting. I called immediately to speak with the manager to explain the problem but wasnt offered any solutions. I spent $284.59 on a garbage door I cant return because it was a custom order. In the future I will stick with the big-box stores and I would highly recommend staying away from this place.

Peninsular Lumber is definitely one of the best places to purchase anything needed for your home. They have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The have a very clean and well kept yard. I would highly recommend Peninsular Lumber for all your building news big or small they will be there till the end. Not only do they have great prices but they have anything you could need and if they dont they will find it.
