BEWARE!! I have zero complaints about Floor and Decor, my wife and I used the Clearwater branch and two others in the area to purchase items we needed for our renovation. Everyone in the stores were helpful, professional and knowledgable. Where we WARN you is to stay clear of the company that they recommend installation made easy for installation unless you take our tips for success. 1. Insist that EVERYONE who enters your home has had a criminal background check and that they have gone through all the checks that they do for the GCs that they recommend. 2. Insist that the contractor signs a work schedule for your job. For example starts at 8am and finishes at 5pm. Commits to that, as well as confirms in writing how long the job will take. That way youre not employing someone that does a five hour day and then for two of those hours disappears to find somewhere to fax a quote for his next job!! 3. Insist that ALL the people in your home have at least 2 years laying flooring so youre not stuck with people who have NEVER done the job before! 4. Insist that everyone wears ID badges as they are REQUIRED to do so. We FIRED our installer after the first day and now it had cost us time and money to find someone else. Our advice use Floor and Decor they are great, but find yourself a highly recommend installer unless installation made easy are willing to improve their screening processes. Why 3 stars? Because if Floor and Decor are associating themselves with another company it will be them that will have their reputation ruined unless they take control and insist on better results from their outsourcing partners.

We purchased tile over the phone for pick up in this store. First they had us order from two different stores in this area, because they didnt have enough at the Clearwater store. Only when we got there for pick up they did have all we needed, so we bought it all from there. They loaded the truck with a wrapped up pallet. When we got it to the house and unpacked the truck, we found the tiles were very dirty, there were broken tiles and the boxes were falling apart. No big deal. That is until our contractor went to install them and they varied so much in size and squareness that they were unusable. My husband called the store and a woman said "sorry sweetie, they are yours" and no returns because they were clearance. She told my husband "why do think think we put them on clearance." This is such an incredibly condescending way to talk to your customers. Clearance items are typically discontinued items or items that dont sell well. They are not typically faulty or damaged items, unless noted. Also, she acknowledged that their return policy sign does NOT mention anything about clearance being nonreturnable and that neither does the receipt. Update: I followed up with manager and he was very courteous and allowed us to return the tiles. We are now only out the cost of a truck rental and time. We will be more cautious at the time of pick up in the future.

Never again will Ill I be purchasing from floor and decor. After driving an hour and a half to collect $500 I was informed would be waiting for me upon arrival that I was overcharged by mistake, I was told it was already credited to my account and will reflect within 5 days. 5 business days later, the money was not there. I called the store and was told it was credited to gift cards. Gift cards?!?!? And if I wanted it back in my checking account, I would have to wait up to another 7 days. There was no apology for driving out of my way for my refund that was NOT in fact refunded. When the situation was escalated to management, it was implied my story of physically coming to get the refund was fabricated. In store management communicated to corporate when they tried to refund to my card the first time, my card was not working...yet again another lie. I was treated as though it was my mistake they were bending over backwards to resolve and I have inconvenienced them. Absolutely insane! 8 days and multiple lies later, I am on the verge of taking legal action!

Visited the store in Clearwater and planned our purchases to re-do our backsplash. Went online to order and it is a really crappy experience. Tried over and over to place the order and it wouldnt go through citing a problem with my credit card. Tried calling customer service and gave up after waiting 20 minutes but they responded to an e-mail right away, I guess they dont like to answer the phone. They said my card was denied, so I called my card issuer and they said there were no authorizations for Floor and Décor. Tried customer service again and was only able to get an e-mail response. They again denied system problems, so I gave up for the time being. Later that evening I tried again and the order went through it seemed, but when I went to order history, there were five orders placed today. Called customer service again and got an answer but she said that she couldnt tell me anything because their system was down. In-store purchases may be fine but their online experience is horrible and customer service is non-existent.

This store was recommended to me by my contractor. What a huge disappointment. I went in yesterday looking for help with my tile for my house. I ask for 5 people for help. They all pointed to what isle I might find what I was looking for. There were lots of pple working there. They simply ignored you and kept talking and laughing with each other. After about 45 minutes another customer and I just walked out. She could not get help either. Again, such a disappointment they had such a huge selection. I ended up going to home depot where the help was amazing. I purchased everything I needed in less than a hour. I spent my thousands of dollars at Home Depot. Floor and Decor is in desperate need of people that want to help you and good customer service. My contractor did mention when he picks up orders here for customers, that he waits a hour at least to get it on the truck due to the pple that work there being on there phones chatting and laughing. Really, too bad, nice store, no customer service.

Most associates were not helpful. Difficult finding someone to help. Finally got associate #38220 and he was wonderful. We spent almost 5000 on tile and all we needed for installation and he was gracious enough to speak to my contractor to make sure we had everything. We were told tile would take 3 weeks to get there. That was a Saturday and we were called the following Wednesday that it was in. Now I am getting phone calls asking about delivery and am told that if I dont take delivery by a certain day I will b charged a storage fee of 10 a day. The three weeks to come in fit into my construction schedule. Three days to come in does not. I am going to call a manager to see if they can help. The people calling re delivery have been extremely rude. I should have shopped elsewhere and paid a little more and not had to deal with this. Im 1000 miles away and thought this process would b a lot smoother.

I placed a special order of 19 boxes of subway tile of a specific color. When it arrived we picked up and didnt realize til we got home that it was the wrong color. We went back to the store unloaded the 19 boxes and found out that the UPC number and the tag was for the color we ordered but it the label was placed on the wrong color tile. We were told that Mike, the Manager on duty, would get it taken care of and expedite the shipment of the correct color. I was told that I would be notified every step of the way in getting this resolved. I have called 3 times now for an update and there is never a Manager on Duty to speak to, the staff there are completely rude on the phone. The reviews on Google are spot on. Good selection but the people here are horrible to work with.
