Was hesitating to write this review since the store Manager Angelo has always been a gentleman. Have bought four pair of glasses at this store and he has always treated me with respect. Purchased a pair of Gucci glasses for $516. This was in addition to the $498 paid by my vision plan. My purchase was on July 17, 2016. Less than three months of purchase date, my lenses were scratched. I only use the proper eyeglasses cloth so thought the right thing to do was take them to the store. My wife took the glasses since they were under warranty. Was greeted by an employee. He told my wife that he could not take the glasses unless she paid a $15 deductible. Her question was how such an expensive item required a deductible even though it was apparently due to poor quality of the lenses. This young man kept insisting that he had no responsibility on repairing the glasses unless she paid the deductible. I got on the phone with this employee and requested he stayed with the glasses and if payment was required, I would pay before getting them back. He refused so I requested to speak to his supervisor. He informed me that he was the person in charge and would not take my glasses. My wife said he started making faces as though my conversation was not important and just plain trash. Due to all the face gestures he was making, my wife requested her phone back. He rudely told her “I am talking to your husband” and refused to hand her the phone. After I hung up, my wife kept talking to him and he kept saying “I do not have to talk to you” looking to the store ceiling completely ignoring her. My wife asked for his name. He said it was Jarred and said that he did not have to give any information to her. My wife went to the partner store at International Mall. There, she was greeted by Anain and George. They apologized for the inconvenience, took the glasses and agreed to talk to Angelo about the situation. Hopefully they sent the glasses for repair. I have not received any calls related to the situation. Even though this is a long review, it is a short summary of the hour my wife spent listening to this employee disrespecting my wife, and me. Jarred gave us the worst customer service we have ever experienced. This man should not be working on anything related to the service industry. I will go back to get my glasses when they are repaired but refuse to make any purchases while they have employees like this young man. I will post this review on all major sites hoping I can help some readers avoid going through the same situation.

Where has good customer service gone? Absolutely Optical was the worst place in customer service I ever experienced. I went to Absolutely Optical to purchase glasses. I was told they would be ready in 30 minutes by Juan. When I came into the store Armando approached me. I said I was told to come back in 30 minutes to pick up glasses. Armando said Juan is not here. I said he said the glasses would be ready. Armando said "Maybe he lied to you." He said he is in the lab and I could walk to the other store to see what was going on. I asked could he call the store. He called the store, turned his back to me, and started speaking Spanish so I couldnt understand. When he hung up he said he was not going to deal with it. I said what kind of customer service is this. Armando said to me you were the one that had an attitude. I asked for a manger and turned around he said behind me "Are you done." Then the manager came over and apologized for the way Armando acted as Armando walked away. The manager stated he would "talk to" Armando but dont let that ruin my day." I requested my money back for the glasses. It is sad that Customer Service seems to be a thing of the past where service reps can openly disrespect customers and nothing happens to them. Armando was definitely the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced in my life, but that is not the worst part of it. The worst part is that he thought he was in the right, and felt the need to voice his opinion. There are so many other optical places out there you can go to that has better pricing and will treat you like they want your business. Armando God bless you and I hope you wake up and understand without customers you have no business, and without respect no one will respect you.

I agree with the bad reviews posted about Absolutely Optical especially the reviewer who wrote: "I have seen multiple people including two of my buddies who received the wrong prescription in their glasses and started getting headaches." My prescription was also bad - and it was a very obvious error that Costco quickly picked up on. Costco was GREAT. They worked with me through 3 rounds of adjustments and returning the glasses 3 times over about 3 months but I still got headaches. When I finally returned to Dr. Weil of Absolutely Optical to inform him of the probs I was still experiencing, he got testy and rattled on and on about his extensive level of knowledge and expertise. He even blamed things on Costco and said "You get what you pay for!" So I paid for another eye exam this time through Costco and they found a very unusual error in Dr. Weils prescription that didnt make sense for such a supposedly experienced Dr. to make (which was determined after I shared Dr. Weils claims about his expertise). Absolutely Opticals pricing is crazy high end, like, even up to $10,000 for gem studded frames!!! There were less than a hand full of frames under $300! I should have followed my gut instinct that told me something was wrong when I learned about Absolutely Optical through their Groupon which was very misleading because they worded it in a way that gave the impression that the deal included a full eye exam but it did not - and their exam is also expensive! Not a place operating in integrity although the staff was very nice.

I give this Store a A plus, I bought a pair of Cartier optical and the whole team helped me pick out the proper frame and shape of the lenses according to the shape of my face. Angelo, Kelley, Junior, George & Jerry are awsome. Dont go into the place thinking you might need to get your money back, go in there and pick out your favorite frame. I picked out what I love and look at it as a piece of jewery, because of course there GOLD and Im going to add diamonds. I promise you the manager Angelo will make any issue you have right. Put it this way( there dont have 2 stores) in A International Mall because they suck, No they are the best in the Tampa Bay Area. So check them out!!!! Awsome place and Thank you for being so great. LensCrafters, Vision Works ,Walmart optical and all the other crappy places in the town need to just shut there doors, if you want a fashion statement and not JUNK then always remember "You Get What U Pay For People!!
