The staff seem to have no regard for the animals as living, feeling creatures. Their attitude towards the animals is unsettling and off-putting. Some of the employees do not seem to know how to properly handle the animals in a way that will not hurt them. It seems very clear that this facility is a business first and foremost, not a family-owned pet shop that they own because they love animals. The prices are generally lower than big name pet stores. While the animals are not WELL taken care of, they seem to be better cared for than animals at other pet stores. The new management has made some improvements, and the owner is friendly, but that does not justify the low quality staff that work there with the complete lack of regard for their animals. So if you need to save a few bucks, this is the place for you. However, if you want to support a business that truly, deeply cares about the animals, this is not the right place.

Went in about two weeks ago to check out their snakes because Id been interested in buying a ball python. They were very helpful and friendly and were able to answer any and all questions I had. At the same time not trying to pressure me or sell me anything. They had a ton of beautiful snakes, one of which I ended up going home with. Jupiter is a beautiful ball python who is extremely calm and friendly and curious snake. She also happily took to eating frozen and thawed even though she fead live her whole life. Great service and a great animal have already suggested them to people I know, and I plan on shopping there for all my future pet needs.

I was so very pleased, yesterday, when I took my double yellow-headed 40 year old parrot in to have her nails and wings clipped. Kathy, the woman that clipped her nails, etc. did a fabulous job. Jub Jub, my bird, came through the procedure without panting or being stressed. This is the first time in the 10 yrs. that I have been having this done by 3 different vets in Sarasota-Manatee that shes been calm. I used to travel to Tampa for this, but my age prohibits me from driving 1 1/2 hours . By the way, Linda, their groomer, is also amazing. Shes been doing my dogs for years and my family is so pleased with her work.

This is definitely my local go to pet store! Not only do that have a great variety of healthy choices for pets but they have great, friendly customer service. They are family owned & you can definitely tell the difference with how personable they are with all there customers. If theres is something you want that you dont see in the store they do there best to get it in for you. They also have a rewards program which is a huge plus. There prices are amongst the lowest in town Ive noticed as well. Five star pet store!

about 3 years ago my mom bought me a hedgehog from here and he died 4 months later, the normal lifespan of a hedgehog is around 8-12 years. then 1 month ago for my birthday on June 2nd I got another one and today I found him dead. NOT EVEN 2 MONTHS LATER!!! I will NEVER shop here EVER AGAIN and I deffinetly dont think you should either!!

Great little pet store with a small selection of birds, reptiles and other small mammals. The do sell feeder rodents too! No other pet stores with reasonably priced frozen rodents in the area. They also offer pet bird boarding for a reasonable price. Only reason I did not give 4 stars is they could be more personable and attentive.

I went there last Wednesday,It was somewhat an enjoyable visit , except the fish room looked like it was closing, the owner smoked in your face. The young tall man was too busy texting, but the blond lady was very helpful, they need to hire better workers, with the one exception of the lady

Christine and her staff are amazing! We purchased a handsome little sugar glider from her and she was so helpful and knowledgeable about him. If your looking for a new pet definitely check them out they have a great selection and friendly staff! Best pet store around!!

While they have a large selection, the animals are not particularly healthy looking, nor do most of the cages appear to be cleaned particularly regularly. The staff was standoffish and their prices were insane for the mammals. The birds were a good price though.

This pet store doesnt carry fish really? They need to re expand and make it like it used to be. Need to Hire experienced staff , they told me fish were to much maintenance for them. My opinion is they are lazy, inexperienced and doing the bare minimum.

The reptile room has a great selection and is always clean. My kids love to see the great variety of pets they have. My dogs get groomed here and always are well taken care of and look great. Awesome to see a family run store like this doing well!!

This was the best pet store I have been in a while. It was like being with family . I dont live near the store at all but I liked it so much I am going to drive the 30 mins. To purchase a ferret because I want to spend my money with them only.

The staff is nice and knowledgeable. Staff special orders my brand of dog food for me. I use the groomer at Family Center who does a wonderful job on my Westie! They have many species of exotic birds. They sell sugar gliders!

Not a good place if your looking for fish supplies. They have one little section for fish and aquariums and not very much at all....not very useful for aquatics.

it was a great experience looking at the hedgehogs but 1 of the staff members told us we had to leave even though it was 10 minutes away from closing
