I really hate to write this, and the review pertains ONLY to the grooming!! I want to put all the facts front and center, so that others can evaluate. I am also a local groomer, so I guess that means we are in competition, but not really because I am only working part time and in an entirely different part of Bradenton. I have now been consulted on 2 grooms that these people did, both beyond horrific. Just yesterday my barber wanted to chew my ear about a friend of his who had yet another bad experience grooming at this place. My barber described pretty much what I had seen with my own eyes (I DID NOT SEE MY BARBER"S FRIENDS DOG), the work of an under trained groomer, uneven clipper work, more nicks and scrapes than should be acceptable and a nervous dog. When these folks were considering beginning to offer grooming services, I had a discussion with them and BEGGED them to send the sister who was to learn grooming to a good training facility and even recommended one up in Largo who I know turns out nice beginning groomers. The groomer did not take my advice and took a course ON LINE, not adequate training. I myself studied under the tutor-ledge of a groomer who had previously competed on a national level and ran a successful grooming shop with other groomers she had trained. For this I paid over $3000. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST YOUR BELOVED PETS TO THIS GROOMER. There are several other groomers right near by, all of which are highly competent. If you have to wait a week or more for an appointment, please wait or drive wherever you have to to get your dog groomed. This review will have my name attached to it, and I am willing to be this public to warn others away.

Pawsitively Healthy Pet is a great place to take your dog despite what Sarah Stafford says. I take Oscar to be groomed here and will continue to take Oscar to be groomed here. Oscar gets excited when he sees his Groomer Jean and Owner Patti treat Oscar as if he was their own pet. In addition, we also purchase a lot of pet foods and treats here. I encourage other pet owners to use Pawsitively Healthy Pet grooming services, you will be glad you did!
