This mall is practically half dead with some parts of the mall has no business and lots of vacant storefronts. The food court is dirty and outdated with this year Chick Fil a closed. The owners are raising rent on businesses which is driving them out of the mall. The mall has also had rats there is a picture someone took on Facebook. Sorry to say but this mall will eventually close down within a few years. Any businesses left at this mall will likely close or relocate. The only main stores with business is Best Buy, TJ Maxx, and Ulta. If these stores werent here then this mall would be on its last life. This mall has lost many good stores like JC penny, American Eagle, old navy and so on which people go to Clearwater for the nearest locations. Reason gave this mall two stars is because they still have Hollister and TJ Maxx still has business. Dont even bother with Sears that place looks closed down but its not. If you come dont park around Sears go to the main entry by the steakhouse. Parking lot is old and filled with potholes if can wouldnt come here drive thirty minutes to the next nearest mall.

Port Richey is a hard place to run a business. In the 11 or so years Ive lived in the area Ive seen some locations open and close with 4 or 5 businesses coming and going. The gulf view square mall is like an old Saturday Night Live skit where Dan Akroyd ran one of the last store in a dying mall. He sold only scotch tape. This mall has a Dillards a Pennys and a Sears. But Macys left and there are a lot of blacked out store fronts promising new businesses opening soon. Howard Seltzer has an awesome steakhouse in the site and the food court has the usual suspects. Its a serviceable place for area residents but many wanting variety will drive a half hour or more to more lively Citrus Park Mall or down to Clearwater.

Took my 5 year old grandson to the mall to see Santa. I have a fractured ankle and wear a boot but still took him there. The line was about 15 people long. I asked the attendants if I could sit on the bench and explain to the person next where I would be standing they were helping me let my grandson see Santa. They told me to let my 5 year old grandson stand in line. What kind of person would let their 5 year old stand in a line by themselves. I had to leave with my grandson very upset. I didnt ask for special treatment and cut the line, or anything else unfair. I am disappointed that the world is turning into uncaring people even at Christmas.

I needed some shoes and estee lauder. Tops , I liked it there, I also picked up a new headset at best buy. First time I have ever seen appliances in best buy. Okay, this mall is different, but a really cool different. One store that carries rocks ... Okay crystals called the dragon something was pretty out there. Loved it.... That is one you need to try, really, give it a try and the owner can keep up with any of the youtube conspiracy theories you wish to conversate about. Plus their things are pretty cheap as well as you can buy a lottery ticket there.

Im not sure if the other people who gave this 5 stars have not been to a mall before or something but Gulf View Square is not that great of a mall. It does have a decent array of stores but its eerie to walk past the food court, and when you notice the amount of wasted space they have you realize they could have so much more. They also seem to not care about the outside because it makes it look like the place has been abandoned for ages. I think that for being the only mall around the area it is really lacking, so I end up driving to Tampa or Clearwater.

I like to bring my 2 year old here on weekdays when its not crowded. She likes all the kiddy rides spread throughout the mall and the toddler play area is great. It has a spectacular comic book store at one end and a table top gaming shop at the other that hosts various games. The food court is decent, but bonuses for being close to the main in-and-out stores for convenience. Both my 8 and 2 year old love the tether bounce in the center. Theres plenty of activities for kids to do thats a great opportunity for parental downtime.

What I love about this place is that its an old-fashioned Mall. The kind of mall you walk around IN, out of the weather and shop a miriad of specialty shops. Also a great place for the department stores, Sears, JC Pennys, Macys and etc. Pepper in some kiosks and a food court, maybe ask Santa if he could stop by @ Christmas time, and you have one MEAN shopping experience. THATS what Im talking about. Whats up with malls being turned into over-sized shopping centers??! Is it yet another sign of the nearing apocalypse?

Brand new Ulta store really adds life to this shopping mall TJ Maxx, Best Buy, Dillards and Sears are the major department stores. ****SEARS CLOSES AT 7PM Mon-Sat**** The rest of the mall is open until 9pm Mon-Sat. Chick Fil A and Subway highlight the foodcourt, various wireless network providers in the mall and fun activities like "bungee jumping" for kids to do. This mall is struggling to stay afloat because it is only one level and is very old, but new stores will hopefully keep shoppers returning.

Plenty of easy parking. Variety of stores, most of them ones I want to visit. There are always people here but there are no claustrophobic crowds. The food court could use a burger place. Makes shopping very easy. They are missing some anchor stores, so hopefully they get on that soon. I like this mall and dont want it to die. There are many big name stores I enjoy like Bath & Body Works, Best Buy, Hot Topic and Ulta, plus wonderful mom & pop stores like E&D Games. I enjoy spending time here.

I have been going to this mall long before I moved to Pasco County. It is such an easy mall to deal with. Even at Christmas time. It really will meet your basic mall requirements. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are some cool stores that bigger malls have and they dont. Plus its very centrally located to tons of other stores in the general area that you can try if you dont find what you need there. Im actually on my way there now for a last minute gift, no lie. ☺

This mall is not the "hippest" place. Many shoppes have left for various reasons and those that remain attract purveyors of the middle and/or high school variety. There are often loiterers. With that being said, there is a decent enough food court here, and if there is a shop you intend to visit, it is easy to get in, get what you need, and get out without stampedes or obnoxious lines. This is a "time-wasting" location, rather than one that attracts purposed visitors.

The mall is very beautiful, clean, well layed out and there are a lot of wonderful stores here. However, my favorite place is MasterCuts, as my fantastic hairdresser works there and takes care of all of my hair care needs, at an affordable price! It has also become a great place for exercise walkers in the summertime since it is air-conditioned, and its simply way too hot to walk outside in the summertime here in Florida!
