if you have kids especially if they have issues like autism do not go. we have twin 3 year olds one is showing signs of high functioning autism with ocd(cleanliness is a major trigger)we have been taking steps to test as reccomended by several professionals. my mother and sister were visiting from N.Y. we drove from lakeland to the westfield brandon mall as we had never been...after a decent ride we imediatly found the food court my fiance mom and sister all went to the womans room , i to the mens on oppisite sides. the womans stalls were really dirty and my daughter ocd triggered a fit screaming "potty dirty" and having a tantrum, as my fience began to remove her from the situation in effort to calm her down i was exiting the mens room and heard the commotion, well moving to them to assist i passed the so called "family lounge" and suggest we try in there as at a glance it seemed the place to try to calm a child and adress bathroom needs, upon entering it appeared nice chairs, couches, private nursing stations, changing tables, and everything for children, real nice, we ducked into an unoccupied nursing station( hoping to muffle the tantrum in respect to others) with in moments a woman employed there in some capacity poped through the curtain to see if all was alright.. we responded yes she was having a tantrum, she was autistic, and we needed just a moment to calm her down, (this was repeated 3 times) ...instead of giving a moment she tried talking to my screaming child and then as im holding her grabs her hand as to direct her attention...this is a massive trigger as she is shy around strangers and deffinatly dont like to be touched by strangers making the fit substantially worse then the woman imediatly demands "she take it down some, or we have to leave" now at this point i appoligize to all parents and children who were present for this incident, as i poorly replied "F*{● it were gone!" at wich point i exited the nursing station with angry raging baby in arm , just to be met by to large men by the entrance repeted we are leaving, we were followed to the center of the food court while the woman continued to demand we leave and scold us , i lost it...i handed my daughter off to my family to confront the trio when one man in a white polo and a geared belt orded me not to raise my voice again( this man turned out to be a Hillsborough sherrif or deputy or whatever) wich did not display a badge, name plate, nor identified as one, i thought he was security until i saw him outside going to his cruiser further speaking of us negatively to the same woman as we went for our car i said or what he said "you could be removed from the mall, how about that!" i restrained my self luckily i guess from swingin and simply replied scooping up my now scared daughter "we are already leaving" i moved imediatly to the entrance we came in and were tailed by the trio the whole way...upon exiting my mother and fiance took the children to the car as my sister and i hung back so i could have a cigarette and calm down myself, this is when i saw and heard the sheriff heading to the car and bantering with the woman about "some of the people you see" we are new to this special need and are learning with our daughter how to cope...so all in all couldnt tell you about the rest of the mall didnt get to see any of it

Strangly laid out, and kind of easy to get turned around in during the first couple times shopping there! Every store that one would need at all times of the year, season, age, sex, or occasion. There is a play area with a merry-go-round for children in the middle!! Besides an indoor food court, there are several good restaurants and bars outside connected to it in the back and sometimes there is live music playing outside, on a Friday eve! Note- from Oct through May I avoid this place because its when all the snow birds come down, drive only 10mph on both main roads in Brandon (that lead in or out of the mall). So traffic is really unbearable trying to leave the mall. One lane in each direction, allows about 8-10 cars at a time, through the main traffic lights, from each end of the lot. Hundreds of cars get backed up and one can plan on spending almost 30-45 minutes from the time they start their car until they get out onto Rt 60 or Causeway Blvd. The parking is limited, at best, on weekends and after 6pm all year round.

The mall feels so dated and it has some terrible traffic. It takes forever to get here it feels like Orlando or Miami. The mall has some nice stores and good outlets but i just dont like this mall. It dosnt feel nice and the bathrooms are purely disgusting. The mall isnt ugly though its nice but i wouldnt drive to the town of Brandon down here when Tampa has way better malls in the basket. Not my cup of tea and it felt kind of upscale but not too much. But overall the mall wasnt my slice of cake. Its not that big as everyone says it is. I also noticed some shops are leaving and the mall is losing some selection it used to have. It has a variety but its quite expensive to be honest. It felt like Millina a bit. But finding parking just....OMG....its nowhere!!!!! I had to park at another parking lot across the street to get here!!!!! Its nice but still Tampa has better malls. If you just want to shop its not the best mall.

Came back down into the area to visit my parents. A lot has changed in a few months, but not for the better. Ive got a 2 year old and a 2 month old who are relevant to this review. I want to know who thought it would be a good idea to make it so renting a stroller required a credit card. It used to take cash as well. They also got rid of the old strollers and brought in these God awful strollers for whale sized children. Do your kids really need a small tablet to keep them busy? Yes, what you do with your children while youre shopping SHOULD BE a genuine concern for a retail center. If the parents cant enjoy themselves and relax, guess what happenes. THEY STOP SPENDING MONEY AND LEAVE. Well, as someone who prefers to shop with cash, guess where I wont be shopping anymore! Ive got two kids and prefer to keep my workout at the gym, thanks. Ill just finish what I came here to do and take my money elsewhere.

This mall is too big and long. The mall design looks nice and they have plenty of stores but its so congested. The mall exits are horrible the lines are short and very few cars get to go. There are bad stores here too being with rude employees. But any mall you will see something like that. The weekends are horrible you have a hard time finding parking spaces. The eating choices are decent at least plenty of options. Dont like most of the anchor stores besides the book store and JCPenny. The security of the mall needs improvement with stopping suspicious activity and other stuff so that needs to be fixed. Weekends and holidays are out of the picture for this mall because you cant leave anywhere without dealing with long lines and horrible parking. This mall needs improvement hopefully that will come soon.
