I had an appointment in the area and decided to drop by on the way home to pickup a couple of Kenyi Cichlids. When I arrived in the area where the fish were the girl was talking to a fellow employee about some party or something. I waiting and didnt want to interrupt their conversation. So when they were done they walked off from the department. So I waited a few more minutes then I went looking for someone to assist me. I found her talking to another employee in another department and I let her know I was waiting there. She stated she didnt notice me there. Anyway I pointed out the fish that I wanted but I notice a price under the tank that stated $25. She said that was the price and I told her I got some here last year for $6. She stated that it probably wasnt Petsmart. I told her I know for a fact it was. So I told her that even on the website it stated $4. She commented that it probably is for a different fish. I told it was for the Kenyi Cichlid. She then looked at the fish and she wasnt sure of what kind of fish they were in the tank. I took a picture of the fish and price below the tank and told her that I would research the price again later because at this point I was too long there now and my wife was waiting in the car. When I went home I looked at the Petsmart website again and looked at my picture, well the price was for a bag of mixture that was below the tank and not for the fish. So determined to get the fish I went back the next day (15 miles one way). As I approach the department where the fish are I not another employee there so I thought I would be in and out. I waited as he was selling fish to someone else to get done. I stood there then he walked pass me. I told him that I wanted to get a couple of fish. He said ok. I told him this was my second attempt to buy these fish then I told him about yesterday. He asked who was the employee then I told him that I didnt want to get no one in trouble. Anyway, I asked him just to see if he knew what kind of fish that were in the tank, he stated that he didnt know and notice there was no price on the tank. He said he couldnt sale me the fish for those reasons. I asked are you kidding me. He said he would have to look up the fish and price in about two hours and couldnt do it now. I was getting mad at this point and asked him for the manager. He said he was the manager (John). WOW, so I asked so you are not going to sell me those fish, he said no but I cant do it now. I stormed out of there knowing what I had to go through, told him after conducting business there numerous times in the past that I would never step foot in there again. Not only does the employees dont know what they are doing, neither does the manager. Poor service all around! I called the corporate office and got to the departed to give my survey of the situation and they listen to what I had to say. They took their notes and repeated everything back on the incident and told me that someone would contact me about this. This was a week ago and no response yet. I have now come to the conclusion that this whole operation is very poorly ran and I will for now on not spend my money or time at any of their stores. By the way I went to nearby Petland and got what I wanted.

This review is not about the store, it is about our grooming experience. I was very excited to take our new puppy for his first grooming experience. I made an appointment days ago, choosing the puppy grooming which said it included a face trim, paw trim, bath, blow dry, 15 minute brush, ear cleaning and anal cleaning. My appointment time said 12:30-1:30 online and I picked a specific person to groom him. We showed up 10 minutes early and was told that we only chose a bath and brush, I was a little disappointed but she told us if she had time she would trim his face. I specifically said before we left "this will take about an hour?" To which she replied "oh probably less!" My husband and I decided to just shop around the store since it wouldnt take so long. 45 minutes passed and we decided to grab some lunch, we got back after an hour thinking he should be done any minute, so we sat outside the window waiting. 30 minutes passed, an hour and a half total, and we started to hear our 13 week old puppy barking non stop (which is not normal for him at all.) I went in requesting an update, they told me he was being crazy and they were giving him a break and that he had only had a bath and nail trim, and that he was sleeping, even though we could hear him in the back. They then rudely told me that they usually request 2-3 hours since my dog was not the only dog there, even though I made a specific appointment with a specific person, and I was never told that little piece of information.... I was livid at this point, mostly because they were rude about it. I told them to just give me my puppy back. She brought him out still wet, and shaking as hard as he could. He is a 2 pound dog, and cannot be left wet. My guess is they gave him a bath and set him in a kennel while he froze. I payed $18 for them to give my dog a bath and trim his nails and then hand him over shaking. The only reason I even picked petsmart for grooming was because they offered the puppy trim, but obviously it was a mistake and I will never be back.

We just had a less than desirable experience with the grooming part of this location. We took our sweet bulldog/lab mix to get his nails trimmed. We were greeted by a young lady with a very abrasive attitude, but we figured she was probably busy so didnt think much of it. When she took him back, she asked us to step outside where he couldnt see us, so we did, and carefully peeked around the corner 10 minutes later on the far end from where she was fixing him up to see if he was done. He didnt notice, but she did and gave me a very nasty look. Since he didnt see me I decided to watch until she was done, and he looked very stressed just standing still while she clipped his back nails. When he was done, we went inside to pick him up and pay for his nail clipping- she immediatly complained that he did fine until he saw us peek around the corner at which point he tried to bite her. Since I was watching the entire time, i know that was a lie, especially since hes never tried to bite any human or any dog in his entire 3 years of life. When i bent down to greet him, i noticed his eyes were completely blood shot from the rope she had around his neck being way too tight. Even as she held the rope to print our invoice, it was entirely too tight and choaking him. I couldnt wait to get him away from her! When we asked for a manager to explain our concerns, he took her side claiming that the rope must have tightened when he struggled to try and bite her. This was the second time we took our doggy here for services, and we had planned on it being our regular place, but it will definitely be the last because I would never want him in the hands of these insensative workers again! Please speak to your employees, Petsmart! Just because theyre having a busy or stressful day doesnt give them the right to take out their frustrations on customers or their beloved pets!
