10-18-16 We have shopped this store since they opened. Yesterday at 2:30 PM I brought our dog "Liliana" for a nail clip. The groomer, Brook?, did a wonderful job and dropped everything to help although we did not have an appointment. When I arrived I had a flat tire. Which I mentioned when I checked out. We called AAA and was told they would be there by 4:00 PM. Turned on the air and waited. Liliana was a bit warm and so was I, in a standing car. A gentlemen was doing paperwork next to me. I asked if he would watch my car while I went for water. Ran to cafe, closed. Ran back to Pet Supplies Plus and asked for water. I was sweating and out of breath. The cashier was clueless, so asked owner about giving me water for my dog. She said I should go to McDonalds, that they had free water! I replied that I couldnt go any further, and they just looked at me. I went back to the car, I didnt know the man so I was hesitant to leave it again. Waited for AAA. This young man was told I had a dog in the car. HE brought us WATER! How sweet was that? While fixing my tire I proceeded to take my coupon card and return it to the store. "I will no longer be shopping at this store." The cashier; "Okay!" Where is the empathy, compassion and understanding?

If a company is going to put discounts on line, they should make it clear as to the offering. Big dispute with them re: the wording ADULT and LARGE BREED. Pet Supermarket in the interest of goodwill honored their offer but they in a not so nice manner refused. This was about $6.00....not hundreds of dollars. I rescue dogs off of death row and currently have three....trying to distribute my business to the different stores in the NPR area was my goal as I once owned a pet store in Tampa. If a person came into my store not so nice dressed (been working in the yard at 90 degree temps.) I would still treat them like good customers and not be rude and downright nasty. It is my opinion that the manager ?? must have had a very bad day .......not my fault. They have my promise that they will not be bothered with me anytime in the future.....Pet Supermarket is closer to me but I was just wanting to pass my business around.......I work with quite a few rescue groups and it is unfortunate that Pet Supplies Plus has no desire to appease their customers when there is a misunderstanding. A little tact goes a long way.

Have shopped at the Port Richey, FL location several times. Have never had a real complaint until today. When I walked in, I went straight to the cashier. She had no customers in line so I didnt think it was a problem to ask her for help. I asked her where a certain item was for dog grooming. She said "aisle 3" and pointed. I thought, "well, it would have been nice for her to offer me help" but I said nothing. I spent the next ten minutes trying to find the correct product for my pet. When I checked out, she had an attitude for no reason at all. Again, she acted as though I was wasting her precious time even though there were no customers behind me. She dropped the change and bills into my hand. As it turned out, the product was not the right item after all. It has a lot of alcohol in it and burned my dog. Had I been properly helped, I would have been an informed consumer and made a better buying decision. I dont foresee returning there mainly because of the attitude from the clerk.. I will either order online or find a friendlier pet store.

Like most other places, it depends on whos working and what mood theyre in. Ive mostly had great experiences at Pet Supplies Plus, but have had a couple really bad ones. After the first really bad experience, I went out of my way to shop somewhere else for about 6 months. But it was frustrating and time consuming to go out of my way so I went back. Last week I had another bad experience. I think Ill just have to take time to see who the manager on duty is when I go in, and if its not the one who is super friendly and customer oriented (never a problem when shes there), I will just leave and return when she is there. I dont like wasting my time going in and leaving empty handed, but I dont want to deal with people who dont deserve my business. I have a lot of pets so I always spend a lot of money when I go.

Horrible grooming experience ..took my service dog, Bichon Frise for a groom..the groomer shaaved her body & paws down so far had to take to the vet to be sure she was ok..this groomer clearly had no ida how to groom a Bihon stating that she was matted> the fur on a bichon is very thick and she was well cared for and brushed everyday..this groomer is clearly inexperinced and unfamiliar with the breed..my vet cannot predict if she will ever be the same as far as provifing the services she did for me inthe past as she is acting very different since going here..The manager did not call back even after I brought the dao in for him to see her...I would NOT recommend these grooming services to anyone...espcially those with service dogs

this was my first time in the store. Just happened to see it as I was passing by and needed a cone collar for my Dachshund that had surgery. As soon as I walked in a young man ask if he could help and took me to where they were. He was so very nice and helpful. He even put the collar around the neck to give me a better idea. He was very polite and most helpful. I was also offered help from two other employees. The store was big, very clean, and well stocked! I have actually told a couple of my friends about the store. I was sold and will return. Prices were very fair and more affordable than most, at least on items that I shop for.

If your looking for quality grooming at affordable prices then this is the place for you! Every fur baby will get the time and attention they need and deserve during their spa day! I make sure every detail is met by giving each dog a head to toe, skin and coat assessment before and after their visit and provide a detailed summery of everything that was done as well as how each dog enjoyed their time. Was surprised to see a Pet Supplies Plus here in Florida. We are here on vacation & I forgot the dogs shampoo & we were just going down the main road in the area. And what a wonderful surprise. There are only 2 here in Florida but many in Michigan where the owners are. Clean store. Lots of variety of quality products. And polite & clean-cut employees. Love Pet Supplies Plus!

The store is fine, whatever, huge selection but OVERPRICED. I would NOT recommend using the grooming salon at this location or any Pet Supplies Plus, the staff is not very friendly to pets or their owners. They traumatized my dog so badly by cutting his nails wrong that I have to give him a sedative now to have it done.
