I came to Bike Tech to buy my first road bike, Ernesto Iribarren helped me select the bike and all the gear. Ernesto was very knowledgeable, patient and a true professional. He guided me from beginning to end on what bike could work for me, size, fitting, gear, shoes, gloves, etc., as well as, provided feasible prices with added discounts and was more than willing to work with my set budget. He was honest, straightforward and didnt attempt to sell me more than what i needed or wanted. Ultimately, I purchased a Specialized "17 Tarmac Comp 54." Ernesto fitted the bike to my specifications, provided me with a free 30-day tune up/adjustment, and was kind enough to explain all the unique nuances and answer any questions I had. In short, it was a great experience, Bike Tech has a wide variety of bikes available in all sorts of colors, shapes, and sizes. Ive given him and the store a 5-Star rating that I believe is well deserved because the customer care was excellent, the employees were kind and friendly; overall, the atmosphere was enjoyable and pleasant. Im very happy with my purchase and the attention and support Bike Tech provides. Friendly, knowledgeable, involved, and many other very good adjectives that can describe the experience with Bike Tech on Bird Road. After more than a decade I decided to get back into biking for fitness and fun. After visiting a couple local bike shops, Mike sold me my first bike. The transaction was smooth and as expected. The guidance was impeccable! After slowly getting my feet wet on road and trails, I experienced minor damages (I would not dare and fix anything other than low air pressure). I came in to get my bike back and running. That was when I met Ernesto and became a raving fan of Bike Tech. His Friendliness and passion for biking radiates and creates a comforting experience to stop by the shop. Since then, I have come back to buy another bike, and with Ernestos guidance I am extremely satisfied. The time spent working on my bike upgrade with him has been unlike any other purchase of a high ticket item in my life. I believe the main reason was because I felt like I was not being SOLD something. He introduced me to something that could bring me a very happy biking experience and the integrity and genuineness of the transaction solidifies why I will continue to be a raving fan of Bike Tech on Bird Road. Después de recorrer y averiguar en diferentes lugares termine comprando una Scott Aspect 940 para mí y una Scott Contessa 740 para mi esposa en este lugar, no sólo me dieron los mejores precios tanto en las bicicletas como en los accesorios, también tanto Hernesto como Jorge quienes me atendieron en diferentes oportunidades me dieron una excelente atención y servicio, razón por la cual estoy escribiendo este review. Realmente se nota que les gusta lo que hacen, felicitaciones por su trabajo y gracias por una tan buena experiencia de compra !

Long Overdue Review. I have visited Bike Tech on Bird road for a while now since I purchased my 2016 Specialized Diverge Carbon bike, with the help of Ernesto. He help me order the bike, fit the bike and choose the best Helmet and shoes that fit me perfectly and did not break the bank. I have taken my previous bike there as well for routine maintenance and the Bike shop technicians always deliver. You are greeted every time you get there and some actually remember my name even after months of not stopping by, I call ahead to make sure any particular item is in stock and they will hold it for me and if not in stock they will order it and call me once it gets to the store. I definitely recommend this store for any bike needs, and for first time buyers as you will get great service, not feel rushed and you will most likely leave the store with a new bike or one on order. Ask for Ernesto if you want but All the crew here are great people and will help you without a problem. Take care Thank you Bike Team!!.. Paul M.

I came in to Bike Tech with a custom bike another bike shop had built me on a vintage Cannondale frame. I wasnt happy with it and was looking for advice on how to raise the handlebars. Even though it appeared obvious I already had a bike and would not be buying one from his shop, Ernesto spent at least 45 minutes with me explaining bike parts and options. He was excellent and I learned a lot. When I finally got rid of the awful bike that had been built for me I came back and was helped by Ernesto. He spent easily 2 hours with me answering questions and letting me test ride bikes. Excellent experience and am very happy with the 2017 Specialized fitness bike he helped me choose. He helped me find a rack and fenders to make it more suitable for my commute. I also saw a lot of happy repeat customers coming in and out of the store in the time I spent shopping. Afterwards he even followed up personally to see how the bike was. Would recommend this place and Ernesto to anyone.

I bought a bike once from this store and I have to say the owner is a nice person an I do see he takes his time to respond to the write ups and apologize. But a couple of years I went back and the employees are not customer service oriented and are a little arrogant they dont help you out unless they see you are triying to buyy an expensive bike, I guess they are waiting for the Tour De France peloton to buy them expensive bikes...... I went to Bike Masters on 117 ave and 88st and they are very down to earth and treat you good even if you just buy a 10.00 bike light they are very customer servive oriented. And talking about bike places, Cycle world is even worst, its a shame I bought my 1,500.00 bike from Cycle World, not knowing Bike Masters exsisted... So I dont know how is the service at Bike Tech now but coupke of years ago on couple of visits the service was no good, prices also high...

My experience was out of this world in the shop located at Bird Road! First of all, I knew absolutely nothing about bikes but wanted to do a Duathlon. I was an OCR athlete (Obstacle Course Race) looking to start into a new discipline. I have done Spartan Races, Battlefrog Races and soon The OCR World Championship. The Bike Tech people helped me choose the right bike for me, shoes, gear, they gave me tips, helped me calibrating my bike. It was like a free tutorial on how to get started. I couldnt believe it. I did my first Duathlon and I WON SECOND PLACE! I dont think I could have pulled it off without all that mentoring. No way! Special thanks to the store manager Marcelino Espinoza who is really willing to go above and beyond for every client. You absolutely have to go and see it for yourself :-)

Stay away from this place, I went in for there advertised special of $35 for a tune up and all services were not performed. I went back to the store the same day with the bicycle and spoke with the manager and mechanic to see if all services were completed. At that point the mechanic did advise he could not perform part of the service as the tool was removed from the workplace by another coworker. If I had not brought it to there attention who was going to tell me that said services were not performed. Manager did tell me he would order the part and work on the bike again, here we are almost a week later and no call or assurance they have the part in stock to repair my bike. I took it somewhere else got it done and no looking behind, it ended costing me an additional $20 but got it done.
