What a great place to shop at. I went to them today and the people there were extremely courteous and friendly. i received help immediately and the guy that helped me stayed with me to make sure i got exactly what i was looking for not what he wanted me to buy. I went to two other shops before i got to orchid island and after the second one I was really feeling discouraged. As much as i needed to get the parts for my bike i sure didnt want to give my money to either one of them . So I was glad I finally found a store with people that care about me being happy with my bike , the items I purchased and being friendly more than they did about the almighty dollar and the up-sale. I would recommend them to anyone.thumbs up and if your reading this orchid island thank you for all your help I will always come to you when i need something for my bicycle. Your staff is really great so give em a raise or a pat on the back at least =) my best regards ---John

1st: Have a Trek 1500 with 50K miles on it. Needed medium level repairs, tune up, new shifter hoods. The other bike shop in Vero had it a week, did nothing. And, the arrogant guy there was gonna charge ~$150 to replace Shimano 105 shifters, claiming hoods were unavailable. So got my bike back from that shop, immediately drove to Orchid by 11am. It was fixed by 3pm. And, Red found a broken front derailleur spring the other smart ass missed. Bike is like new, ready for 50K more. 2nd: Red fixed my wifes touring Fuji with Tiagra in 1h45m. We went to beach, came back, picked it up. These guys are friendly. The price is worth this efficienct service. Thanks, Red.

Do not recommend the service shop. I took my bike to get the brakes and cable adjusted. When they called to tell me my bike was ready, they informed me that they spoke guard was cracked and they replaced it at no charge since they did not tell me about it. When I went to pick up the bike they tried to charge me for the spoke guard. First time riding the bike after they serviced it, it would not shift into the high gears. When I looked down the gear cable was frayed and bursting out of its casing. Took it to another service shop to have them look at it and they basically told me everything I asked Orchid Islands to do was going to have to be redone.

Malcolm and the team are great to deal with. Went to one of their paddle board demo days and were still undecided about which boards to get for a my wife and I so he setup a private demo for us and our friends. The service was great and everyone we spoke to knew their product inside and out. Going through all the different models of boards and paddles. We ended up getting the right boards for the right price for all four of us. Thanks again for going above and beyond.

Malcolm and Jason are true professionals and dealing with them is a real pleasure. I know Im going to get the right answers and guidance with regard to my bikes purchases and general cycling needs. I have nothing but praise for the prompt service they provide as well. My tune-ups and repairs have been handled quickly - charges are very reasonable IMO. Give these good folks a go.

In town visiting family and broke a spoke on my Trek ProCaliber. Stopped in the shop a hour before closing and Red was there to help. Had the repair made and called me by 10:00am the next day just like he said he would. Quick, fast repair at a reasonable price that got me back on the trails without missing a day. Guys are great just specify u want a tube of the highest quality for your Bike..I didnt and was back in a week with another flat. Paid more for the better quality one but its still going strong ! Other than that they have fixed several things for me and been wonderful...prices r reasonable and they are fast!

I just wanted to say how friendly and helpful everyone was at Orchid Island Bikes. I am just a visitor to the area for a week, but had trouble with a tire on my doggy stroller. I brought it into them and the quickly and efficiently got it fixed. They didnt even charge me for it. Thanks so much!

Purchased an inner tube for my bike from Orchid. Had a hole in it. Took it back and they refused to exchange it, told me to buy a new one! They took me for $8, just imagine if you bought a bike for $500 or $5,000 what they would do to you. Take your business elsewhere. I am.

I went to this bike shop to have a bike built. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Other bike shops in the area quoted me $70-140 and a week turn around time. Orchid Island did it in an hour and charged me $35 I will be returning soon!

Great outfitter. Professional service. We Rented a Kayak. They Delivered it to our location and picked it up when we were done. Their bicycle selection is excellent and good prices too! Great selection of bicycle and kayak accessories.

Owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. Let us test multiple bikes out to find the right one. Its worth the extra expense to go to a quality and locally owned shop. Also, a Trek dealer. Will return for future purchases and service.

Went in with a bent rear wheel. They took me right away. They didnt try to sell me something I dont need, were very pleasant to deal with and the price was very reasonable. You cant ask for better than that. Highly recommended!.

Had my bike in 5/23/17. Rear tire, tube, and chain were replaced. Now my rear brakes do not work. They were not put back together correctly. How does that happen at a bike shop? $ 74.00 for that?
