Cashier older man, thin, with white hair, on I believe register 12 at approx. 11:00 am today 11/13/13 took forever to scan groceries, packed bags so heavy that a strong man could hardly lift them let alone a woman. Mix cold groceries, put in bags according to how many groceries he could get in one bag instead of cold with cold. Was very upset when I ask him to not made bags so heavy and later to keep the cold with cold. He seemed hard of hearing, but beyond that he acted like our being there was an imposition. My friend had food stamps and only had a certain amount of money left on them, she also had goods that couldnt be purchased with food stamps. The food came to $70 some dollars and she only had $65 in food stamps, she wanted to use the food stamp money first then she would pay for the rest. She swiped her card and it wouldnt credit the $65. She told the cashier he had to do something. He took the card and copied information from it onto the cash register then he swiped the card by his cash register. The transition didnt go through, so he had her try it again. He couldnt seem to hear my friend. She said that she had to swipe the card so she could put her pin number in. I related that to the cashier, so he gave her the card and she swiped it. Nothing happened, so he did it again, this process continued 4 or 5 times, then he swiped the card on his register the same as he did the first time, although he was told that that wouldnt work because of the pin number. He went back to doing the same thing he had done the 4 or 5 times again. I ask him if there was a supervisor or someone he could call for help. He was obviously mad at me at that time. He did the same thing with the card again and said he had called someone that it would show on their wrist band because that was the way they did it there. We looked all stood quietly looking around for a few minutes when he started punching in the card information again. This time it worked. He said he had tried it under another code and it worked. Why he waited that long to try something new I have no idea. He kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. This man has obviously never cashiered groceries before. I worked in my first grocery store in 1958 and things such as the proper way to pack a customers groceries hasnt changed. Why is this store putting people on a cash register without, obviously, training.

Needs a thorough cleaning both inside and out. With the risk of sounding snobby I will say that this Walmart sticks out like a sore thumb in a high end neighborhood like Viera. Every other business is clean and presentable both inside and out. Not so with this Walmart, the back areas of this store are routinely disorganized and there are never enough cash registers open. I cannot count how many times I have gone to buy just one item and ended up having to wait seemingly forever at one of the 2 registers open in the afternoon. And the property? A mess, landscaping is neglected and the entrance signs have moss growing on them. The employees are friendly I will give them that but the compliments end there. It is far better and cleaner than the Walmart on Sarno which is disgusting and that includes the characters that can be seen hanging around but it does not excuse the poor maintenance here in Viera. Edit: Had to take my vehicle here recently to for a tire patch, the mechanics took the wheel off and told me they dont have the "tools" to patch it. Interestingly I have friends who have gotten this same story for other issues. I took my car to a local car shop the next day and had it patched within an hour. Bottom line: support the local businesses and avoid Walmart if you can afford to do so.

Absolutely horrible experience the last two times I went to the store in the morning. Had to go to the bathroom and someone took my cart with all my items in it. I stopped and asked an associate if he could ask if any of the associates had taken it, thinking it was abandoned. I was very nice and told him I was trying to hurry to an event. He said he would check in to it. I then watched him walk away and start unboxing items in another aisle. He didnt ask anyone nor seem to care!! So, since I had to have the items for a work function I proceeded to hurry through the store grabbing the items I had already shopped for. However, I had gotten the last of one item earlier, so there was no more available! Already rushed I ran up front only to find ONE aisle open and EIGHT people in line (carts full). It was almost 7 in the morning and a LOT of employees walking around talking, joking, and obviously not caring that they had customers! Unfortunately this is not the first, or even second time dealing with this problematic store. I have FINALLY learned my lesson. Never again. I would rather pay a little more somewhere else than ever go to this store again!!!! Poor customer service. The only bright spot are the greeters.

This place is horrible. Its always crowded and they have very few lines open so you wait way too long to check out. The store is dirty and the bathrooms are disgusting. Ive seen cleaner Port a Johns! We have gone here at different times of the day and regardless of times they always clog the aisles with people stocking boxes...which should be done during the midnight shift when no one is there. The layout is horrible and the main aisle are cluttered with huge sales displays that you can barely get a cart through. PETA would riot if they seen what they do to those poor fish. Filthy tanks, floating dead fish. Horrible. Stock is piled so high good luck finding items that arent expired. And to top off your horrible experience, you will always be harassed by high pressure cable company sales people trying to switch your service. They dont take no for an answer. Seriously? Didnthey not see the "no soliciting" sign out front? Why does Walmart allow this? Or the better question...Why shop here when there is a great, clean, non crowded Target right across the street? Tip: youll never be inconvenienced by a stock person because they do it at night. And NO LINES OR CABLE SALESMEN!

Parking is horrible but its clean safe and trash isnt everywhere like the one in Melbourne! Best thing of all no self checkout!#! These people below saying theres no stock they should go to the one in Melbourne theres never anything that you need! Couple years back they robbed an old lady took her purse she held onto it and she got ran over by the car, she died. So your only other option is to spend more money and go to Target across the street! Oh and try to stand on your feet all day at work and go to the grocery store and you are expected to self check out and you really dont feel like doing it then go to Melbourne, or every time I go to Melbourne they are cleaning the floor and make me walk the entire length of the building then cut off a section to where you cant buy what you need!! You people have nothing to complain about in Viera!! Im so mad I just drove all the way from Melbourne because they didnt have what I needed! Stop whining! If you were in Japan you would be waiting hours in line, I hate impatient people!
