Gp bikes has not always been my bike shop but i have been going there for the past 3 yrs and havent gone to a different shop since the 1st day i walked i, and ill tell you why. my 1st bike a 1986 KZ550 LTD i was taking to a small shop by my house and i needed a lot of work done to it. Not once did i get a discount or whole sale parts or advice on how to fix a issue. it was always "Oh thats gonna be 120$" and when the work had been done it came out to be more then said..regardless of the job. then i got a 05 636 a yr later and was looking for a new shop and Gp was next on my list so i take my new to me used bike to Gp and they had known the bike from the past owner ( They had proof it was that bike) told me a few things they would fix and a few things i should do on my own to save some money. a few yrs and a few bikes go by till yesterdays visit..i had gone down on my 09 r6s and ordered all my parts online from ebay and big box websites...i just got the bike back together and i thought i had a coda being thrown at me and a check engine light was on so i call gp and ask how i see what code it is..they tell how over the phone but im still not seeing a code so they told me to bring it up to them..instead of putting it in my truck i decide im going to ride it up and see whats going on and give it a test ride...well on my way up both my breaks go out and i cant stop and any red lights or if i car cuts me off...well i finally make it up to gp and Sharkey meets me at the door (Sharkey is the owner) and seys hello and starts looking over the bike..well i had installed the rear rim wrong and it was eating my breaks caliper, i had also forgot my ram air..well Sharkey noticed that i got all my parts online and asks me where id take my bike if i didnt provide local businesses with business.. then he starts fixing my bike and sends me on my way home with no check engine light and all my breaks working. needless to say gp has gone far out of there way for me a lot of times and i cant thank them enough. Shop small and do our economy a favor and Gp.

I AM JULES LUPOWITZ OF MELBOURNE FLORIDA- GP Bikes in Melbourne is owned by we all call Sharky, His lead mechanic is Gage. The GP Bikes crew has been nothing less than fair. Any motorcycle rider will see great deals and be satisfied there. Ive been riding and dealing with light repairs since 9 years old; from Stella through Hodaka, all main Japanese brands, HD, Euro and austrailian brands id hope to believe I can tell a great repair shop from a putz mechanic. Sharky, Gage and the crew at GP bikes know what theyre doing and charge very fair pricing. Now at 53 after riding internationally Jules Lupowitz, after some international fame (my silly 911 episode to alleviate a ticket) decided to mount my Valentine1 radar & lazer detector. Riding a Buell 1125R, with almost no normal mounting location Sharky advises a bar end mirror to fasten main unit to. Minimal as this may sound the exact location is crucial for snagging radar traps. Gage picked out the solid aluminum billet part (adjustable bar-end mirror) as the main units platform then wired the remote audio and concealed video display just under the top fairing lip. This mini speaker and readout is 1 to 5 inches from my face shield. No wires are detectable. Perfect, professional job with quick release and rain protection to boot! This professional job took Gage under an hour to install: $35 bucks + the mirrors cost. So I Jules Lupowitz of (I think?) extreme bike riding, automotive (and several "other") experience must graciously recommend GP Bikes of Melbourne, Florida for any/all repair, customizing, parts and some great deals on machines.

My uncle has always gone to GP to get his bike worked on, they are the best with price, best with customer service, and Ive never seen people so passionate about bikes. I will never go anywhere else! Here is my story: I had first went to Honda power sports of Melbourne to have my FI light checked to see why it turned on. The guy at Honda was in a rush, came outside and started taking off my fairings without notifying me, and then (by putting his ear to my seat) told me it had something to do with my exhaust. Said he had to charge me a $50 diagnostic fee, and sent me on my way. I had gone to GP to get a second opinion and they not only started to help me out as soon as i walked in, but didnt even charge me to fix the issue. and it took them all of 10 min! I had then needed a new chain and sprocket. i decided to call Champion Kawasaki in Cocoa and they were trying to over charge me for not only a higher labor price (because the bike is stretched), but also were trying to sell me an off brand set, that they were charging 350$ for. I felt like they were honestly trying to steal my money. I went back to GP after talking to Gage on the phone and he got me a Vortex set with a 530 chain, and paid under 380$ for it all, and i couldnt have asked for a better product and performance. Thanks a lot guys, you will always have my business!

My Harley Davidson had a bad back firing problem and I brought it to a few shops around town and the problem was never resolved. I was told to go to a shop that had a dyno and GP bikes was recommended. When I arrived at their shop near downtown Melbourne I was impressed with the size of their facility and the variety of bikes I saw they were working on. There were 2 different types of dynos and they simply removed my seat and put my bike on the yellow one and hooked up a reader , changed some settings and ran my bike 3 times and now the back firing is about 90% gone but it rides smoother and accelerates better. I was very satisfied with not only the service but my experience there. You can really tell that the guys are motorcycle enthusiasts and passionate about bikes.

Unfortunately we dont remember the job about the GIXXER. As we work on motorcycles from all over the country. But it sounds like you phoned us and described the damage over the phone. And you may not be a professional motorcycle mechanic as you brought it to us to have it repaired. So it may as well be that you misdiagnosed the damage. And thats why the quote went up. And we are sorry for any inconvenience, but Im sure if you would have called and talked to us before writing a review we could have come to some compromise. Hopefully there is no hard feelings. As we value our customers more as friends. And we would gladly like to rectify the problem if we can come to an agreement. We are always ready to compromise but Im sure with everything you were fairly charged.
