I have been to Van Gannaway Chevrolet 3 different times for service on my car and up until last Saturday I thought they were great and deserved 5 stars. I bought my car in Texas before I moved to Florida and purchased a 3 year warranty with it. I had taken off work work 2 1/2 weeks earlier to have my car worked on at Van Gannaway because I kept getting an error stating to service the traction control system and then it would say engine speeds reduced. I dropped the car off at 10:00 on that morning and they called to say I needed a new battery. Great install it and I will see you soon. I picked the car up between 4:00-5:00. A few days later one of the guys I work with noticed there was a tack puller screwdriver laying where my my windshield wipers are. I said it must belong to whomever put in my new battery. I called Wednesday Feb.8th because my car had started making a LOUD clicking noise in the dash when I opened the doors of my car or changed from heat to cool. I looked it up and found that it was a blender door actuator for the inside outside air. When I told the guy what it was he said there were about 5 of those on my car so I told him it was the one on the left side of the glove box. He said he could not get me in Saturday the 11th but Monday the 13th. I told him that I worked in Sanford and really could not take off work again so if I had to I would take it somewhere in Sanford for the repair. He asked me to hold on and came back and asked if I could be there at 8:30 on Saturday. I asked how long it would take and he said probably around 2 hours. I made the appointment and I was a few minutes early and there were 3 other guys in front of me. The first one had a very nice sports car and when they asked him if he had a appointment the answer was no. They told him it might take awhile to work him in as they were booked up with appointments. Guess what that guy was in and out in under 1 1/2 hours. When they got to me he asked what was going on and I told him he put the reader under my dash and we went inside. I handed him the specialty screwdriver and told him it must belong to whomever worked on my car last. He never said anything he just took it and asked if they had given me an estimate. No thank you no nothing. I told him I had a warranty and I thought that all that information was in the computer. I was just here 2 1/2 weeks ago for a new battery. The next thing he said was I hope the warranty company is opened today. Well when I bought the car I bought a full 3 year 36,000 mile warranty so I would think that it is covered. I was asked if I knew where the waiting room was and I did so off I went. A few hours passed and they came in to tell me that it was the actuator and that he had read through my warranty and they were not opened but he would go ahead and fix it. He said I needed a air filter that mine was clogged and he said I needed and oil change that my car was almost out of oil. I was a little shocked at this one. I park in the same place at work every day and at home. There is no oil leak spots at either. I will take some responsibility for the oil being low but again I was just there 2 1/2 weeks ago why didnt anyone tell me the filter was clogged and my oil was low? I thought maybe I was overreacting but I work with several men and when I told them about this they assured me I was not overreacting. I made a choice to go out of my way to bring my car to Van Gannaway because the first time I was in there I had 2 different customers tell me they would not take their car anywhere else. I dont think I will go out of my way to bring my business back there. I am SUPER disappointed in the service I received. I received a call from John at Van Gannaway and he has restored my faith in Van Gannaway and I will be returning to this location for my car repairs. He made me feel very appreciated and him taking the time to call me made my day. Thank you John!

Well folks something come to find out when I bought a pick up truck, its was Chevy Colorado 2016, I was excited about the great deal and price, or I thought its was great deal, and my fiancé and I decided to purchase the vehicle with confident, without getting into detail, I after few weeks later and the truck I purchase has governor install in the system and only tap out at certain speed, I was very upset and disappointed with the dealership, after bring this to their attention, they all decided to put their stupid hat , I was ignore and lie too, do you think they did anything for me nothing , I felt like idiot. After calling corporation office of Chevy, they took 1 week to get back to me, after call them again, they informed me that all Chevy vehicle are program and they all have governor, accordingly to florida state mandate to put governor on the pick up truck and all of their vehicle. After speaking to different people, getting different story, no one was willing to workout with me regarding this matter. I also was informed that the dealership dont have too reveal that info and their vehicle is programmed or has governor in all their vehicle. I spoke with the GM and he pretty much didnt care or did offer a resolution, he known for fact that he would lose money on this deal (unhappy customers), if I knew this vehicle was governor, I would had gone to ford or Toyota dealership and buy vehicle I am comfortable with, So I bought truck for 7 years which I am not happy and I believe they should told me or devault that information to the customer. So before you go and buy a vehicle @ this place you should consider to shop around and get your facts. Thats why I hate buy car at the dealership, no one can be honest without getting screw. So you known I have bad phone experience and bad tease in this dealership. Shame on the GM, I dont believe this dealership deserves any stars, poor rating customer services and poor services on info. Again I wouldnt buy from this dealership unless you want your vehicle program or governor by them. I hate the truck, hate the dealership and hate everything they stand for!!!!! Good luck

This is my second time visiting this dealer and walking away with an awesome car. I purchased a used Impala LS back in 2006 for my youngest daughter. The experience was fantastic. My wife has wanted a new Camaro since they came back out in 2009. Of course she wanted an SS but at the time that was way to much money for a new Camaro SS. We instead got her a low mile Mustang GT Convertible. I am not a big Ford guy, I have been a GM man my whole life but my wife wanted a convertible and the used Mustang was in our price range. We were getting near the end of our extended warranty on the Mustang and the convertible top was getting to look a bit used up so I started looking for cars online and found an immaculate 2010 Camaro 2SS at Vanns with low miles and a great price, Car was loaded including heated seats and moonroof. We met Mel McKee our salesman and everything was handled superbly. Mel is an outstanding guy. I have been buying, selling and trading cars for over 40 years and this is one of the best experiences I have ever had. No haggling they gave us a generous amount on our trade and as I stated earlier the Camaro was priced right under NADA book value. This is my wifes car and Mel took the time to walk her through all the features. We met with the Finance Manager Tony Derrico and he got us a super interest rate and extended warranty plan. Tony was very thorough in going over everything. We were in and out in 3 hours with a hot Camaro. Best of all my monthly payment is only slightly higher than my Mustang payment. Vanns is a fair and honest car dealership with an abundance of talented employees. I would not hesitate at all to send anyone there looking for a new or used vehicle. My hats off to them.
