if you take your vehicle here to be worked on, I would suggest taking photos of the outside and inside of the engine bay area before leaving it in their hands. I recently had my vehicle repaired here after a lifter collapsed, when I came to pick it up, I noticed the cap for my washer fluid reservoir was missing (the repair involves removing the reservoir, intake, moving A/C lines, exhaust manifold etc) and the hub cap for my front passenger side tire was damaged (it was barely hanging on because they broke the locking tabs on the inside). When I brought up the issues I found to Ryan (Service Writer) he was pretty quick to drop his "nice guy" persona and become very condescending, especially when I pointed out that there were still bolts sitting inside the engine bay that werent even put back into their proper locations or when I mentioned the broken hubcap. Hubcaps do generally wear out over time, however, if you or anyone else has owned a Trailblazer or Envoy, the caps go on a certain way when they are in the lock position, here they pretty much didnt bother doing that and broke the locking tabs and said I brought the truck with the hub cap falling off, it was perfectly fine and still locked tightly to the rim when it was in my possession. The biggest issue I had was that the Mechanic (who did the repair work) and Ryan were quick to point the finger at me and say I brought the vehicle in with the parts missing/broken already when that wasnt the case. I could of taken it to another shop to have the work done, but I felt more comfortable leaving it in more capable hands, especially when you paying for what is supposedly "top-notch" service, and obviously you expect your vehicle to be returned in the same condition it was in when you dropped it off, not have it returned with accessories or parts missing/broken. (unfortunately that isnt the case for what I went through) I do what I can to maintain the up keep of my vehicles, if something is missing or out of place I would know right away. The Mechanics excuse for the bolts was "Oh I must of missed them". Im sorry, but I know its hard to keep track of everything under the hood due to how extensive the work is, but dont put on the paper work that the vehicle passed a "multi-point inspection" if you didnt even bother inspecting it after finishing the job, and if it were inspected, there is NO EXCUSE for having loose bolts rolling around the engine bay area. I now have an appointment set up at a more reputable dealership to do a full service inspection to correct the mess these guys created. I know my situation is probably a 1 out 1,000 chance of happening to someone else, but always take before/after pictures so if you do find something out of place, you have something to fight with since they refuse to admit fault to anything. Unfortunately for them, they couldnt pull the typical routine of trying to take advantage of someone that is uninformed, and then turn tail when theyre busted.

For starters, we came in with a trade and were offered $6000. We disputed the amount and asked for $7,500 the Finance manager advised us they would need to have the mechanic look at the vehicle "first thing in the morning" because there was a low oil pressure code. They went on to say, that code means the motor is about to go. Please keep in mind we service our vehicles every 3000 miles and at no point did the oil light or engine light ever come on, nor did our certified mechanic ever mention a problem. Billy said they would have the mechanic look at the truck first thing in the morning and we told Billy we could be back to the dealership at 11:00 AM (We took the day off from work). At 2:30 we still had not heard anything so we headed to the dealership. On the way there the salesman (Billy) called us and said "yes, the head mechanic is sure the motor in the Dodge is about to go" and he can only offer $6500 on the trade. We accepted the offer and while we waited for the new vehicle to be fueled and prepared for delivery our salesman again brought up the engine issue and stated "well, you know, it could go tomorrow or it could go in 2 years, you just never know" The very next day we saw our trade on a lot in Medina for $11,900. That is shady business and is unacceptable. We were sure to stop at that dealership to let them know Axelrod said the motor is about to go. Our salesman (Billy) was beyond frustrating. We would ask questions and he could not answer most of them. He was not knowledgeable about the rebates, or vehicles and when we mentioned the ad we saw he said "well none of those are really accurate, they just use those to get you in the door". I am so disappointed. Then, the man who had us sign all of the paperwork was condescending at best. Any question we asked was met with a tone of intolerance. Also, after leaving the lot we discovered we were almost out of gas. Billy did send us a $50 gift card to resolve the gas issue. Finally, 7 days later when my fiancée needed to lease a new vehicle we did not go back to Axelrod, we went to Spitzer Autoworld in Amherst, OH. The service there was AMAZING! The salesman (Anthony), the sales manager James, and the finance manager were wonderful to work with. I can honestly tell you, I will only refer friends and family to Spitzer Autoworld Amherst and will be a loyal Spitzer customer from this point forward.

I have always been interested in owning a truck but figured I would hold off a few years to seriously look at acquiring one (I just bought 2 new cars on October 2012). Ive never been that particular in the latest model year as I generally run my cars into the ground so was looking at 2012 "leftovers" to see if I could score a great deal. Quite honestly, I was looking for every reason not to buy another vehicle but when I saw the 2012 GMC Sierra advertised, I thought I would at least stop by and see if I could get a once in a lifetime deal that I wouldnt necessarily be able to match sometime down the road. Parma is extremely out of my way and I have a long history with Marhofer Chevrolet in Stow so if I had my druthers, I would have preferred to stay close to home but Axelrod had the 2012 truck so I took a drive to see what I could negotiate. I made an embarrassingly low offer to my salesman which brought the Sales Manager out to check out what kind of clown he was dealing with. I gave Brett Leek my rationale for my offer and we used that as a starting point to work out a deal that I thought was fair and equitable. Brett was absolutely phenomenal to deal with and would be the main reason I would consider coming back as well as recommending my friends to Axelrod. I now have 3 cars - 2008 Tiburon with 7000 miles (summer car), 2013 Sonata with 1500 miles and my 2012 Sierra with 2100 miles. As much as I didnt "need" the Sierra, I am so proud and excited to have a truck and am satisfied with the way that I was treated by Brett and the Axelrod dealership!
