As a rat owner of many years, I was heartbroken to see their small animals crowded in containers with poor air circulation and no place to hide or sleep. The rats were poorly socialised, so much so that I was badly bitten trying to choose one. The staff seemed unfazed by my injury. The rats were more than skittish- some were outright aggressive to human interaction. The staff grabs and carries them by their tails, a practice that can cause serious injury to these animals. They are clearly bred for the sole purpose of being feeders, with more attractive looking animals marked up to be sold as pets. Although I imagine some of them might make wonderful pets, most would require serious attention or rehabilitation. These rats are not being bred for temperament, which is resulting in pets that would be dangerous for families with smaller children or inexperienced rat-handlers.These creatures are not respected, and it is sad to see that the biters are being tossed (quite literally, and by their tails, to boot) into the feeder bin as if they are disposable. The lack of compassion and empathy exhibited by this stores business practices is alarming, especially given that my injury from the bites may not even be the worst that Red Fox has seen. Please do not support a business like this unless they can learn to care for creatures such as rats with a little more dignity, kindness, and with more regard for the dangers "pets" like these rats pose for someone unprepared to devote great amounts of time to rehabbing them.

Ive gotten two pets from here one a green iguana and one a baby Savannah monitor. Both had enclosures set up according to specification by breed/species. Both ate perfectly fine the first couple days home. They then stopped eating no matter what was offered and died within two weeks. I know Im not the problem I successfully raised a bearded dragon and have had a beautiful 5 lined Madagascar lizard. Both were happy wonderful animals. I will never again purchase a reptile friend from this shop ever again.

The gentleman at the service desk which I believe is the owner, very cold and make you feel very uncomfortable , not a people person. However the girl was very helpful. But we wont shop there again and wont recommend any one there. Is unfortunate that they treat their costumers like they dont care about them. Maybe Im wrong , and I hope I am , but I think it could be a racial issue. * I will not give any star,. But is the only way that I would let me post.

As stated by others, the owner is rude. Which could be overlooked if he were at all knowledgeable about the animals hes trying to sell. I would highly recommend staying away from this store and resisting any temptation to purchase/save an animal. It does nothing but encourage bad business practices and, poor animal care.

I came in to their shop not long after they opened up the shop. I love this pet shop and all the pets and people! I love the radio station they leave playing, I love how healthy and happy the pets all are! I tell all my friends to get pets from this shop, because I love almost everything about it!

Amazing owners! The animals are happy and very well taken care of too. Its incredibly clean and everyone there is helpful and happy. Local pet stores like this need more support from our community & as long as Red Fox is around I will never give my money to and corporate pet store again.

I bought to baby breaded dragons, set them up with everything they need, and both died.... I even consulted with a vet, to give them the best of foods n all.... they have the right lighting , daily salads, crickets n worms.... very sad..... my kids are heartbroken

Very good pet shop and knowledgeable staff. I purchased my ball python from here, very healthy and happy snake. They are always willing to answer your questions and will answer based off personal experience. I highly recommend them!

Tanks small, over crowded and filthy. Fish tanks were almost bare and incredibly gross. Staff rude and almost unaware of customers. Asked to use restroom and was told to go to Winn-Dixie. Avoiding this place from now on.

I go here every week to get food for my snakes. Very polite and knowledgeable staff, always willing to answer questions and give suggestions. If you dont see something your looking for just ask a member of the staff.

All the the high reviews must be employees. 3 breeder bearded dragons in a 20 gallon tank. Dirty fish tanks. Way too many smaller animals to each cage. Rude and uncaring staff. Over priced. Avoid this place.
