Do not buy birds from here!! My family used to visit the store on a regular basis as we love parrots and are always open to welcoming new members to our family. Over the course of the two year span we would come to the store we ended up purchasing three parrots: a parrotlet, rose breasted cockatoo, and an umbrella cockatoo. We took our seemingly healthy babies home and were very fond of them. After about two years, the rose breasted suddenly grew very sick so she was rushed to the hospital for us to find out her liver condition was very poor, and she passed away within days. About six months later, we found our sweet little parrotlet dead in the bottom of his cage. Then about a year later, our umbrella was rushed to the vet showing the same symptoms as our other cockatoo. He also perished within days of this occurring. The vet explained that because they were all raised in the same nursery and the syringes Paul used to feed his babies were being shared that they all contracted the same disease. This was very disappointing as he runs a great business and sells many parrots that seem to be healthy. We also purchased three parrots from Pet Supplies Plus - two sun conures and a Moluccan cockatoo- during the same time frame and today all three of those birds are still perfectly healthy. Very sad considering Paul is a breeder and one would assume his parrots would be in better health condition than those purchased out of a large chain pet store. Would not wish this upon anyone!! Extremely heartbreaking and do not want this to happen to anyone else. Please dont purchase any babies from here!

Unbelievably rude! I went in to buy a cockatiel and was having trouble deciding on one because about a yr ago two of my 3 cockatiels had died. I was feeling a bit guilty buying another and that led to my reluctance. I even told the two workers there that and they had no sympathy or even patience for me. I ended up falling in love with a female cockatiel and bought her and a few toys (which they have a great selection). What really gets me is halfway through me being there, an apparently regular customer walked in and was treated completely differently. She bought tons of toys and was talked to rather sweetly and with lots of friendliness and courtesy. It really bugged me how they treated me and I will not be going back. If u dont mind the terrible service, they do have a great selection and a very clean store.

Excellent Shop! I was looking around for a bird. I visited every store in wide Cleveland area and even drove to Columbus. I met with every shop owner and asked all kinds of questions. I ended up coming back to this place. The staff spent a lot of time with me showing me the birds, answering questions and allowing me to handle them. I ended up choosing a Severe Macaw...or I should say she chose me. They encourage prospective owners to visit their bird until its fully weaned and able to be taken to its new home. The store is close to my office so I stop in every day theyre open for a visit. The staff is always friendly and willing to address any of my concerns. You can tell they really care about their birds.

This is a great place to get birds and supplies from; I cannot complain about it at all. They have good birds, supplies, food, and what not; the only thing I can nitpick is that the prices are higher than at other places, but that is merely due to the quality of the product they have. I have good experiences with their birds, of which I currently have two, supplies, food, boarding, and grooming. In all, this is a great place to get birds, supplies, food, have your birds stay for an extended period, or have your birds groomed.

A year or so ago wed stopped in to pick up some toys and treats and at the time the store seemed to be run by the "nasty old woman" all the negative reviews complain about. However, recently we decided to give "In a Pickle" another shot and Im so glad we did. The new (much younger) employees are all very helpful, nice, and informative. The gentleman apparently running things now has never been short of wonderful to work with and Im glad to say that we finally have a regular go-to bird store.

We drove an over and hour to find out that they closed in fifteen minutes. We were heartbroken, and got ready to leave. They told us not to worry, let us hold a turquoise conure, and answered all of our silly first time parrot owning questions. They really knew what they were talking about and were incredibly nice. All the birds looked healthy and happy. When we held the conure, it was very comfortable with being handled. When we do buy a bird in a few months, we are only going to them!

I drove a hour and 20 mins to find out they closed in 20 mins. I just brought a umbrella cockatoo home needed a lot of help. The owner who is the old lady at the counter was so rude and nasty with me. Pushed us basically out the door. The owners son was a different story he tried to help as much as he could I guess. Ive never had so horrible of service. I will never go back and Ill make sure I let everyone know how terrible this place is for service.

This is where I bought my Severe Macaw about a month ago and Im so happy I found out about this place. The atmosphere is great, the prices are great and the birds there are so nice! The people who work there are also very nice and are really helpful when I was trying to find the right bird for me. They also answered all my questions and helped me pick out my new Cockatiel and Severe Macaw.

I loved this place! We were nervous to go in because we had no bird experience whatsoever but the staff was super helpful and welcoming! We left with a male american parakeet that they helped us pick out and the girl that helped us with our supplies has had several birds and answered all of our questions perfectly. The rest of the staff knew a lot and the overall experience was great.

Staff has no knowledge about birds. Asked about a bird that clearly has a horrible plucking problem and was told theres nothing wrong with him and ALL birds do it. Birds dont pluck for no reason! Do your research! This poor bird was bleeding from the tops of his wings from plucking and the staff did not care. And watching another staff member handle the babies was very alarming!

Great selection, clean store, relatively cheap prices for parrots, they even take care of the young birds for you until they are ready to take home! I see some reviews giving 1 star about the old lady at the register, but shes been replaced with some younger staff, they were extremely nice helpful to me when I picked out a Conure.
