Didnt do my due diligence so I paid $300 more for the AR-15 at American Gun than other sellers are asking. My bad. The owner later responded I had it on lay-a-way for two months without any charges. Isnt that is what lay-a-way is all about? And what does that have to do with anything to begin with?? Except perhaps I paid almost twice what this gun is worth. The exact gun is being sold for $500 on another site and not for the $859 I paid. So how custom is it? Im new to guns and the only reason I bought this at the time was because the salesman assured me "we dont hike our prices like other dealers". This has nothing to do with your service as that was great. It has everything to do with price. In fact one reviewer stated you reduced the price of a gun by $500 for him. Why??? Could it be you were asking twice as much to begin with as with me? Please folks... look online and you will find much better prices than here. Then you can buy more ammo for your guns!!!

Great store, they have a wider range of inventory than anywhere else, even more than RK! Good selection of used firearms, too. Great new stuff, all at what looks like to best prices in the area. Say "Hi!" to Steve while youre there - hes the owner, and a heck of a nice guy. He and his staff are all extremely knowledgeable, helpful, polite, professional, and NOT condescending at all. Some gun store staff seem like they try to make you feel stupid when you come in - thats not the case here. Another plus is this: It seems that they ALWAYS have the ammo I need, whenever I go there. An amazing array of other items, too - protective body armor, 50 Caliber uppers that fit a standard AR15 lower, and on, and on, and on. Top gun store in Hernando County, in my humble opinion!

Been shopping with Mr. Steve for years. He had .22 in stock when it was impossible to find. His staff always go above and beyond. I say all this AFTER taking an FN 1905 i recently acquired up there and finding out that its worth a good bit less than i paid (total impulse buy). Mr. Steve didnt dog my shooter like others had before. They gave me some tips, mainly suggesting that i should just keep it and shoot it. Even had a deal on .25 acp. Bottom line is this. Of all the area gun shops of which there are 6 or 7 main ones, American is where you need to swing by. Dont buy into any bitter review this place has, they are stellar and again i write this AFTER getting bad news from these folks. Gotta give credit where its due!

If you put an item on layaway and for some reason you change your mind they will charge you a restocking fee of 20%-30% of the cost of the item. So if you put an item on layaway that cost $1000 and you put $300 down and for some reason you cant buy the item your not getting the money you put down back. (Scammmm) I personally will not buy anything from this place because of their crazy restocking fee and their way over priced guns. Their is several other gun shops in the area with a lot better prices. Their salesmen are friendly but not enjoyable to be around and definatly not knowledgeable about guns. Just my 2cents

They talked me out of a bad choice on my part and showed me a new model of another manufacturer (a firearm that has become popular) - very happy with the product, the service, prices, and support - I want to get another firearm and theyve provided guidance for the firearm and scope. Ill purchase both, and ammo, extra magazines for the range, carrier, from them. They can order anything within reason thats not in stock. Great staff.

These guys will take care of you. Ive purchased an UZI and a Kel Tec RDB from these guys, they were very knowledgeable and helpful with all the customers in the store not just me. They also took $500 off of what they were asking for the Kel Tec I purchased. They will do you right at this store. Nothing but great things to say about these guys.

I had a great experience here today. I was referred for a handgun purchase and I was treated very well. The owner was there and although lots of customers came in and out during my visit, he kept the traffic flowing and made sure everyone was helped and taken care of.
