Sold me boots that did not fit. Last year, 2014, I went to Play it Again Sports to get some ski equipment. I had no experience before with ski boots, so she fit me with a $200+ pair of Rossignol Alias size 27.5. Today, 2015, I just went to a professional boot fitter, over at Alpine Haus, and he fit me for a 25.5. I skied an entire season on boots that were not even close to fitting me. At the tightest settings my foot would not respond to any of my turns. I told the woman who was working that I hadnt skied before but I would pick it up quickly (which I did), so please provide gear for an intermediate/advance skier. She sold me some of the worst quality (old) solomon X-wing skis that all but fell apart after one season. My recommendation would be to never buy anything for more than $100 here. Otherwise, commit to buying gear in a shop or online. And never buy boots here, you will end up hurting yourself because they obviously do not know size/sell boots.

Play it again sports in West Hartford Center is a fantastic place for families to shop for sports equipment. You can find just about anything that your children may need. I purchased hockey skates for my kids 2 years in a row. Found the perfect fit and the price was amazing. Staff was very helpful in fitting my kids. If you have ever tried to fit a young child for hockey skates you know its not an easy thing to do. They were patient and courteous and made sure we have the perfect skates for our kids. We could not be happier. I would Highly recommend play it again sport in west hartford center. AA++

Years ago I had my golf clubs stolen from my apartment and the person sold them to play it again sports, thanks to the West Hartford police I got all my clubs back except my putter which was from Scotland and my golf balls, they sold my putter and did nothing to help me get it back, and offered me used golf balls I feel they owe me $100.00 for my lost property, but they did not care. This place is nothing but a front for stolen goods. Since its been so many years since this happened. I dont expect restitution, but if this post keeps people from giving them business then it was well worth it

Although their website says they take ski helmets, they do not. Brought three helmets there and they said they dont take them as its a liability. Also, do not bring your old skis there unless they have new bindings. They will not take skis with older bindings due to liability reasons. Really frustrating to haul all of this stuff there and then find out that the website does not give the true story. They did take old ski and snowboard boots but not the snowboard that I brought because they "had too many". If anyone knows of a better store, please leave a comment.

I do not know how they stay in business with such poor customer service. I tried to switch a putter from one youth golf set to another because it was just like the one my son was used to. Insisted the owner insisted that it was worth more than it was and I ended up leaving empty handed. This was not the first time I had the experience with the owner in this manner. I primarily now use this place to gather research on what stuff is perceived to be worth before buying on ebay and craigslist.

Literally the worst service Ive ever received... Ive been in this place twice and both times I have been treated horribly. The staff is rude and complained about his boss to me. Which is unprofessional. When I called the store they told me they were open till 5 and when I showed up they locked the door and refused to help me. I wont be buying anything else from them and I will be returning what i originally bought.

Was there today to outfit my daughter for field hockey. The clerk, Ryan, was fabulous. He spent at least 20 minutes finding the perfect sizes and fits, and even dug through everything to make sure everything was her favorite color. They had everything we needed at great prices; would definitely recommend!

I drove an hour+ to get there and sold most of what I brought in under ten minutes. Aaron was friendly, helpful, honest, and fair...excellent customer service! The whole experience was pleasant, quick, and well-worth the trip.

The owner isnt very friendly. I tried to trade in hockey gloves to get another pair and she was extremely rude with her offer I was not impressed If you dont mind picking through some worn out stuff you might find a deal.
