One of (at time of writing) 4 shoprites in Stamford. This is perhaps the biggest, nicest one. There is always a friendly police officer at the door and the hours are good. Right next to a liquor store, too. Prices are good but its definitely noticeably not as nice inside as say Stop and Shop across the street. However it has a great selection of foreign foods (South American, Irish, and Polish sections to name a few). Even has freshly-made mozzarella and good sales regularly on staples like chicken, eggs, bacon, and cheese. Produce can be a little lacking especially if you didnt buy organic.

Love ShopRite at Commerce Park in Stamford!! Always enough cashiers & baggers. Meat is really good and well priced. Seafood is wonderful and also often on sale. Its great that they steam the lobsters for you at no charge. Produce is fresh and well stocked. Raj is the manager and he and MD are great- friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

One of the better Shop Rites in the area. Its a huge store. Still, the organic produce selection is poor but the regular produce selection is very good and often you can find great sales. There its one aisle devoted to organic packaged goods such as cereal and snacks, and you can find meats and poultry that antibiotic and hormone free.

Prices are good on some things, but not on lunchmeat typically. Fruits and vegetables are hit or miss. I like the increase in organic fruit. Their bread is good. I had a sample of a cookie and boy was it tasty. Descent organic section. The size of the place is monstrous. I am late picking my son up if I go here for a couple things.

Ive been coming here each weekend, as its convenient for my routine, but the device at the fish and meat counters are so rude each week, this will be my last visit. Honestly, with all the shops in this town, theres no reason to be so dismissive of your customers

This is by far the best supermarket in the area and the prices are very good. They have a wide selection and a friendly staff to help you find all the things you will need from the basics to the international sundrees.
