ROTTING PRODUCE IS UNACCEPTABLE AND IM GOING TO ADDRESS IT NEXT TIME I COME IN, GET READY, IM GOING TO EMBARRASS THE SHI# OUT OF THE MANAGER IN FRONT OF ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS. ----_________ All the other reviews are from clueless people that just dont get it. ------------------------- Cant be in and out in a reasonable amount of time because they have slow as hell front end staff who dont understand resource utilization or just not physically capable of performing the job in an efficient manner... need more self checkout registers and front end staff that actually (can) do something _________________ Update July 2017: They opened 8 self checkout registers and only 1 was opened with a line of people and the sign flashing for help at 730 am... 10 minutes, no help so we all went to the 1 cashier on duty. She told me "Im only 1 person"... WOWOWOW... Unreal how dumb this is.. lady, if you did your easy job and opened more than 1 seld checkout register you would not have a line. I cant believe how stupid she sounded. I hate dealing with people and self checkout is the way of the future. Registers are for 16 year olds anyhow, not 40 year olds. Its a first job sorta task not a career ------------ Produce update - IM TIRED OF HAVING TO BUY 2X THE AMMT OF APPLES BECAUSE 1 OUT OF 2 IS ALWAYD F_ING ROTTEN. REALLY?.. STRAWBERRIES WITH STRAIGHT UP MOLD ALL OVER, NICELY COVERED UP SO I CANT SEE UNTIL I GET HOME. GET A NEW PRODUCE MANAGER, IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS. I HAVE TO DRIVE 10 EXTRA MINUTES TO GET PRODUCE NOW. Who manages this place anyhow. I always see managers staring at people, ITS NOT HELPING! you want to stare at something, go to the produce section.

Cant see the signage for each aisle unless you stand in the aisle. I asked the manager why he didnt put the signs for each aisle in the main corridors in the front and rear of the store and he said to me "well, how would a person standing in the aisle, know what was there?". I pointed out that if they were in the aisle they could easily see what was there. Many aisles are stacked so high you cant see those signs now in the next aisle, now can a person of average or shorter statue reach items placed on the upper shelves. More than once fruit and meat has been rotting when I got it home. Nice employees, discusting store.

This store seems to be a good supermarket and a typical Stop & Shop. We stop by if were in the area and ever need anything. Everything is easy to find, the store is big and clean, and most of the staff seemed to be friendly and helpful. Bakery section is good in most Stop & Shops and this was no exception. The problem was the produce. It was disgusting and moldy. Overall, this store is good, but watch out for old produce.

I dread coming here. I live in new Fairfield so youd think it being one of the only stores in the town it would get it together but nope. Every time I come theres some sort of issue. Id rather drive to Danbury and waste the gas at this point.

Its a big store and the staff is helpful, especially at the pharmacy. The layout and selection options are peculiar. The back of the store is very dimly lit.

The best Stop N Shop in the Danbury area hands down. You might have to drive a few minutes but its well worth the trip. Always has things in stock
