The place to go if you want to get RIPPED OFF and SMART MOUTHED! I brought my 2 bikes in for a tuneup last week. When i came back in to pick the bikes up I noticed that the chains had not been cleaned or oiled. I asked why the chained had not been cleaned and or oiled and the response was that only comes with a drive train tune up. I then asked how do you adjust the derailleurs if you dont clean the chain first. The answer was WITH A SCREW DRIVER. OK This conversation is going no where. When you go to their website and look up what they do on a tune up they have a picture of them cleaning the chain. So what did they do for $166.34?

Smart Cycles Rocks! These guys are great. Ive bought two bikes here and have sent a couple friends in who also bought bikes. They all agree with me. Recently, I bought wheel parts and cranks online. Long story short, I ordered the right stuff but the online store sent the wrong parts. Smart Cycles discovered this while building my wheels. They could have banged me for 4 hours of labor, and they explained to me WHY THEY COULD/SHOULD have done so...and they were right...but Alex, the owner was so cool and let it go saying he appreciated all the business I have given them. They have me as a customer for as long as I ride bikes.

By far the best bike shop in CT hands down. I have purchased a bike for my daughter, a full suspension all mountain bike and a custom Italian road bike and the service has all been stellar. There is alot of elitism in Fairfield county bike shops- if you are not a skinny, leg shaving, interval riding road nerd you are not worthy. Alex and the crew are the most down to earth peeps you will ever meet. Give them a try- great bikes at very fair prices with excellent services.

I learned my lesson and agree with the fellows giving them bad review,...rude and completely unprofessional stuff, lf youre not sure how to do your job at least dont lie to my face becouse there are other shops willing to help and you dont have to waste two weeks of my time and tell me to go somewhere else. My foot and whoever I know will not cross the door of those butchers

I bought 1+ frames from them in my past as a customer with top credit. But presently, Smart Cycles only throwing the[ir] phone down, once I ask "Is this Smart Cycles?" I ask, as whoever picked up the receiver did not identify as "Smart Cycles" during his answering/pick-up. (as I be an anonymous customer) As I had to verify of the business name via the ph# that I dialed.

Very professional and warm. Knowledgeable, great selection and location is great for a bike shop...plenty of parking and test rides are easy and comfortable. Boris spent a fair amount of time and patiently answered all of my questions. Happily riding my new Minturno! Sending my brother and his kids there this weekend.

Great service and family oriented, Alex and Boris helped me and my wife with our road bikes, since the early 90s. Now has help us with our sons bike. and you can bet you will see us with our grad kids in the near future.
