Harveys review is spot-on. The place is full of stuff lying all over the place and on the floor, you have to be careful where you step so that you dont trip: rims, shafts, sprockets, airpumps, etc. You cant even get close to the display case because there is so much crap in front of it, blocking your access. I went there to get a replacement rim, the guy went in the back, and after an eternity, he brought out a rim that was the wrong size. Back he went, and then after another eternity, he brought out a rim that fit, was was out of true and warped. At that point, I just left the place.

Remember the "old" days (circa 1965 and before) when bike stores were a jumble of bikes all strewn about, mainly utilitarian with a smatteriing of the latest craze among teens or younger, where the repair area was behind a wall and the place looked more like a cramped, disheveled hangout than a place of business? Remember? If you dont, just come to East Meadow Bikes and itll all come back to you. Dont expect high quality or even anything resembling "pro". What you get is simple, straight forward and not much else. Its strength is location for those living nearby and thats about it.
