I was impressed by the watch restoration services offered on their website; however, it ended up that they were "watch snobs" not "watchmakers". I brought my fathers vintage Grand Seiko High Beat for a restoration and the watchmaker brushed me off, didnt even come out from the back to discuss options with me. Just said "Its rusty send it to seiko" For those not familiar with the GS High Beat, it is a fine watch from the last days of mechanical autowinders with a high beat hair spring that oscillates 36,000 BPH. Most modern watches,including rolex, only beat at 28,000 BPH It isa far superior movement to the ETA 2824-2 movement produced by ETA (a division of swatch) that adorns most modern watches including many of the high end brands they sell. I would have thought that a watch maker would have been excited to see such a rare movement. If you want a real watch maker with an appreciation for watch making as a craft, Id say look else where. If you want the links taken out of the bracelet in your TAG, or a battery replaced in your quartz watch, then youll probably be fine. FWIW Im a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors and an amateur horologist.
