The Hub either lied to me or are totally ignorant about bike tires. I brought my 35-year old bike that hadnt been used in 30 years to The Hub for a bike tune-up and asked them to replace the extremely old tires. When I went to pick it up after receiving word that it was ready, I saw that the old tires were still on the bike. When I asked why, they told me I didnt need new tires, accepted payment for the tune-up, and gave me the bike. I was very suspicious about the condition of 35-year old tires for riding, but tried to trust in what they were telling me. I took the bike home. After 45 minutes of riding on level pavement, both tires were completely shredded! Later I found out that my type of tires were out of stock and that they wouldnt be able to get them for at least a month. I then realized that they simply wanted to get my bike out of the shop and get paid for the tune-up. Every bike repair shop Ive called since said it is a no-brainer that the 35-year-old tires would need replacing, which is what I had assumed from the start. So either The Hub lied to me or they are the least knowledgeable repair center on Long Island when it comes to bicycle tires! I will not trust them again.

Hands down best bike shop Ive used ever. Friendly staff always willing to go the extra mile to help you out and they dont try to sell you a bridge. Never once have I felt pressured or robbed leaving them. Prices are also awesome. Gave them my price range and told them my goals and they hooked me up with the best bike for my money by taking like 250 off the msrp to get me the most bang for my buck.

i recently stopped in the hub after a piece of bicycle seat broke when i was riding on 110 a few blocks away. they hooked me up with the piece for $5 and installed it for me too. i felt they were knowledgeable about bicycles and took care of me well. i will return to the store and would recommend others to give it a try to.

My local bike store had recently closed and I needed a piece for my bike rack. I searched on line and found The Hub. The store is awesome and they were able to provide a replacement screw free of charge. Will definitely be visiting them for anything I need in the future.
