I have shopped in Klaffs for many years, three different locations, Scarsdale, Danbury and Norwalk. Their displays are incredible, product selection is vast. I have spent a lot of money in Klaffs. Know right off the bat that the list prices on items are a bunch of BS and Im not sure why they employ such system. They routinely give 20 or 25 percent off the sticker prices. Why not just price them honestly in the first place? I dont know. So why do I give them 3 stars? Ive had both good and bad experiences there when it comes to customer service. About 2 years ago I redid a bathroom and the incorrect shower door was installed. I was not home when it was done. After many phone calls, with a gentleman in the bath department who showed true concern and went to bat for me, I finally got the correct shower door installed. Kudos to him. Id mention his name if I recalled it. Most recently, in January 2017 I went to the Danbury location and ordered 4 wall sconces. I was told by a very knowledgeable sales person, who had been with Klaffs for many years, that theyd ship in 1 to 2 weeks. When I called to inquire where my lights were, I was told they made a mistake and it will take 3 months to arrive. As I was building an addition that wouldnt be done and ready for the lights until April, now, as I write this, I said Id wait. After 3 months I call and am told they are in the warehouse and I can come pick them up. Really? Wow, great. Only I paid $25 per box to ship, total $100. I figured Id be refunded the shipping. Thankfully before going the next day, I receive a call. They made a mistake. Theyre not in the warehouse. Still havent been made by the manufacturer and will take another month. Okay. I wait. I call this morning and Antonio answers. Ive dealt with him before. Nice but not very competent unfortunately. He checks and says they are in their warehouse ready to be picked up. I said again, are you sure? And if you are sure, why are they sitting in your warehouse when I paid to have them shipped? No answer to that. But if I want them shipped, they will ship today. Really? Ten or so minutes later he calls me back. Surprise, surprise, , as Gomer Pyle used to say. He "read it wrong." How exactly does one do that again and again and again? Could I possibly be the only customer subject to such shoddy service? Yes, you guessed it, the lights are not in their warehouse. They still havent been shipped from the manufacturer. I go on their website and read their mission statement and there happens to be at the bottom the name Joseph Passero. So I take a chance, guess at his email address 3 different ways, and bingo, one works. Next thing you know, I get an email from the CFO who says this has been forwarded to him to take care of and he apologizes in his email. What does he do then? He too passes the buck. I receive a voice mail from a woman apologizing and asking me to call her. Uh, perhaps she could have left me a detailed message indicating where the lights are after 4 months, when I will get them, etc. No. I return her call, leave her a voice mail an we are now on the voice mail tag youre it system. I expect this from a new business, not one that brags about being in the business for 100 years.

Horrible Policies & Terrible Management. Never take less than 20% off the price they quote if you must use them. Klaffs ordered the wrong size for my $3,500 shower fixtures and the incompetent management tried to bully me and refused to accept the return for their mistake. I strongly advise looking elsewhere unless you have the availability. Furthermore, they give misleading shipping times that would have held up my project even if they hadnt ordered the wrong size items. If you must use this store, be aware that any item can have 20% removed from the price if you ask. If your salesperson says they cant, head towards the door and they will come after you and give you 20% off. But there are better stores with more ethical management, so try this technique at any bathroom fixture store.

Generally over-priced compared to other places, but I bought a Rohl shower, thermostatic and diverter. Paid the extra, but expected great customer service. Then had the one small plastic piece get stripped so needed a new one. Call CS, get vmail. Call back 2 hrs later after no response and am told, "usually takes him a day or so to call you back". Then why am I paying premium pricing? Cant turn off shower because of a cheap plastic part and well take a couple days to get back to you. Sorry. That was my last purchase w them.

I purchased two items, and neither was compatible with the plumbing in my house. One did not come with all the components, and I am still struggling with Press and Marcos to get what I paid for. I would discourage shipping here, and if you do, make sure you have everything you requested in working condition before you pay anything.

Poor communication , no call back after numerous attempts for a parts order, called 4 times over two weeks, one employee said they would call back and never did. Found another retailer who could order parts in Norwalk and the order went through same day.

Their Customer Service follow up is terrible. When you want to remind them of their follow up you only talk to computers and the messages seem to go into a big wast basket.
