We found out we needed a new external door and so were pressed for time to get a new one. We went to our nearest Home Depot, in Stratford. They didnt have it in stock and sent us to Bridgeport instead. (For some reason it couldnt be ordered.) At the Bridgeport location, we asked for someone by the doors to help us and he seemed so irritated. I told him exactly what we wanted, he barely communicated with us and walked quickly ahead of us to the front of the store where he abandoned us with a cashier to finish placing the order. Something was off with their computers and, without apology, it took quite a long time to arrange for delivery and payment. Overall a very unpleasant experience where I was unhappy to be spending so much money. Had we another option, I wouldnt have given them our business.

The anti-christ of hardware and do-it-yourself. The help has become increasingly unhelpful (though nice enough) over the years. Remember when that was the point going to this place? But now, not only is the help helpless, but tools and hardware are abominably poor quality. In the past year I could literally fill the back of an SUV with the stuff that I bought at this dump that broke within a few months of light use. Yes, literally. Everything from a spray can of pesticide (I kid you not--the valve under the spray-nozzle was defective), to a barbecue. What really kills me about this place is that they dont have the decency to offer high-quality stuff to those who are willing to pay for it. Die in hell, Home Depot. It would be too good for you, but Im in a good mood...

I just want to state in this review that in the past 2 months that I have been coming here as a new home owner . I have had many different encounters with different employees at this location and with some being not so well to some being GREAT! I will take the time to show my appreciation for great customer service and the enthusiasm to help someone with a new project on their hands ! Geoff my new Home Depot friend has been a great help to me and never gets frustrated or has an issue walking to the other side of the store to help me even if thats not his department. I really do appreciate this kind of help and will for sure send anyone I know to him if they ever have any questions ! Thanks again Geoff Shea !

Bridgeport home depot is terrible! If there is another location....go to it! They never have anything in stock, and when there system says they do its not on the shelf. I tried returning an item WITH a receipt, and they treated me as a criminal. This place has gone downhill year after year. It does not help where its located neither, on numerous occasions Ive been hassled for change in the parking lot. Plain and simple, just an unpleasant experience.

I brought a machine to be repired , I was told the repair was gonna take two weeks max, and to wait for a call from a homme depot representative, two months or 8 weeks passed by and I never received a call from them. After placing several calls myself,, finally the machine arrived. Awful customer service. Will never go back to this place

Staff is never around when you need them. After waiting 20 minutes for the guy in Windows and doors I was told he was taking lunch. Now two things are wrong here: first of all she could have said that from the beginning without wasting my time and second of all..WHO TAKES LUNCH AT 5PM????

The worst customer service so far. Waited 1/2 hour for help with siding, and mailboxes. Still no one came now making it an hour. Everyone kept saying someones coming but NO ONE CAME. will NEVER come back. Bad services for someone who is new to the Connecticut area.

Home Depot is terrible, and this is one of the worst in the fleet for customer service. Ask an employee for help, chances are good that theyll forget about you. But ... the garden department is good, where the staff seems to actually care and enjoy their jobs.

Get in and get out! Its got whatever youll need, but its not a wonderful place to look around for stuff. The staff is split between knowledgable and completely useless, so youre taking your time i n your hand when you approach one of the younger staff members.
