OK. So my first experience here... We walked in about 15 minutes prior to closing. Got dirty looks while browsing. Asked to try one dress on and got denied. Made an appointment to go back. Second experience... The consultant was great. My mother in law had me almost in tears and she told her to cut it out. Tried on a few dresses and was almost ready to decide. Then my appointment ended. I was annoyed. I was taken out of the dress and not allowed to order it as my appointment was over. So I made another appointment. Third experience... Less experienced girl helped us out. Put the favorite back on. Finally decide this is the one I want. Pressured into ordering a slip. Pressured into ordering my veil. It was 6 months prior to my wedding at his point and I was told if I didnt order then it probably wouldnt come in. Measured and left a deposit. Before my dress came in I went bra shopping and went in to try it on with the sample. I bought a strapless dress and really didnt want back fat. The lady let me put the dress on, but it looked terrible (no lift). So she helped me with another bra. That bra gave me a ton of back fat poking up. She said it wasnt avoidable, which is the opposite of what I was told when I was buying the dress. I left the store in tears. The veil and the slip came in super fast, but each time I had to drive all the way out there to pick up the pieces. I was not told it would all come in separately and that they would not hold past two weeks. Finally my dress came in. Rather than scheduling a fitting, I was told to come get it. It was a customer service opportunity lost.... I was not allowed to try on my dress when I picked it up. I was told I had to pay for part of the alterations when I came in for my first fitting. I asked for an approximate cost so I would know how much money I needed, and the rude manager told me it varies. I said why I wanted an approximation (so I could make sure I had the money when I came) and she just gave me a look of total disdain and again told me it varies. At my first fitting, we discovered that due to the drop waist on the dress and my height, my hips and the dress hips didnt line up. The dress didnt fit. The seamstress suggested I lose weight. They also pulled the top up to basically under my arm pits to try to make it work. It was still too tight. After my second fitting I cried for hours. I couldnt believe this was turning into such a nightmare. I had lost 5 lbs since the first fitting and the dress still didnt fit. It bunched in the middle. I finally decided I just needed to buy another dress. 6 weeks before my wedding. Maybe if they hired people who knew what they were doing, someone would have told me that this wasnt the dress for me due to its shape and my height. Maybe they would have measured me correctly. Maybe I wouldnt have thrown out a $1500 dress and had to start from scratch 6 weeks before my wedding. Skip this place if possible. Manager or owner is not in the right business. No customer service skills. Kids are inexperienced but mostly nice. Just not worth the stress.

I am the mother-of-the-bride. Alfred Angelo gets five stars for service and attention. When we arrived with my daughter on the day of her appointment they were ready and waiting. The girl could not have been better matched. She was calm, attentive to my daughters ideas, and did not try to oversell us on anything. We were in and out within an hour with a dress we all loved and that matched what my daughter asked for and within the budget she wanted. However, Alfred Angelo employs seamstresses that, though very welcoming and kind, did not do the job. Maybe three stars. I am not pushy, and feeling as if we were dealing with professionals I did not question their ability. However, I needed to have pushed in this case. The dress slipped at the fitting, and we did wonder about seeing the top of the bra in the back. We were told that the bra was positioned too high and we would need to be sure to lower it on the Big Day. I also had trouble with the lower clasp. I was sure once we did as we were told we would get it right and things would be fine. Not so. We did another mock try-on this past weekend. We positioned the bra lower, we pulled the dress up, we fastened the hooks. Nothing changed, with any movement the dress slipped and the bra could be seen. The hook did not fasten well and did not work to cover the zipper. A bride-to-be does not need this added anxiety. And the mother-of-the-bride does not either. I immediately reached for the phone to call a seamstress that had altered my own dress and one of our bridesmaids dresses. Not only did she tell us to come immediately, she looked at what had (not) been done to my daughters dress and literally dropped her jaw at what we had paid. Her confidence and ability gave us confidence, and my daughter was a different person on the way home. Within 24 hours she finished the work by simply moving the original top hook over and adding an additional hook to the top which brought the dress closer together and more secure, she added straps that wrap around the bra which will keep the dress from slipping, and fastened the lower hook in the appropriate way - it wasnt even sewn on correctly. I would give you her name but this is not an appropriate place for that. One disaster avoided. We paid Alfred Angelo $230 for breast darts, a bustle, and a dress that was not fitted correctly. And then paid a second seamstress to fix the dress appropriately. The latter being priceless. By all means, buy your dress at Alfred Angelo Bridal. But do not use their seamstresses.

Honestly, the first day we went to visit this shop I wasnt sure I was going to find my wedding dress. But, the consultant, Fiona, was fabulous and I ended up finding the dress I fell in love with. Unfortunately, thats where the good experience with this store ends. I never received a call that my dress came in, they instead called my sister-in-law and when we went to the store so I could try on the dress, it was wrong - they ordered my dress with metallic gold rather than ivory! It was horrendous. Upon getting the manager involved, she just kept saying it was the dress makers fault and that they could guarantee they would get my wedding dress rush delivered for 6 weeks. We asked multiple times if we could get it sooner, but she promised it would be in for 6 weeks on rush delivery. Well...here we are, 2 months later and Ive received no phone call, so I took it upon myself to call the store. When I called the store, the manager told me that the dress makers had sent her a message saying the earliest they could get my wedding dress in would be the end of May. When I asked why no one called me to tell me that my dress wasnt actually going to be delivered in 6 weeks as promised she had no answer for me except "youll still have time to do alterations". At this point, you can bet Im not having my alterations done at this store and I truly wouldnt recommend this place to anyone to purchase anything because the customer service is lacking. Im now going to be waiting at least 6 months just to see my wedding dress in my appropriate size. Im extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion from customer service. Please only go here to window shop, then order your dress elsewhere. I definitely will not be recommending this place to any future bride and I can only hope I have a dress for my wedding. I will probably have to go shopping for a back up wedding dress in case I still dont receive this one.
