After going to 3-5 Bridal Stores around Connecticut, closer to my home, I ran across Mariellas Creations, after my Future Daughter in Law purchased her wedding gown from them. I have Two Children getting married Four months apart. From the time I walked into this store, the professionalism and welcoming was so beyond comforting,I was just totally amazed at the Expertise of The Owner,Mariella, and her staff! They ALL were so very nice,So very helpful and extemely knowledgeable in helping with my selection of a dress. They went out if their way after getting a vision of the types of dresses I was interested in and while I was in the dressing room, they were browsing more dresses for me, knowing what look I was trying to go for, but yet, still right there at the curtain once I was ready for them to zip me up or adjust or Clamp the dresses, based on the sizes. All the staff was so very gracious to me and did not rush me and made every attempt to accommodate me even while other customers were in the store.I noticed they went out of their way, running around to make sure Each and everyone of their customers in the store got their own special attention and not just to sell a dress , But because they prided themselves on their expertise in making sure each customer was happy with their choices. I purchased my first dress for my sons wedding and just absolute love it.Such elegance! The whole store is filled with top designers and elegant and classy dresses in many materials and fabrics. After reading some of the reviews on here,I have to laugh, because Ive been to this store 4-5 times and each time I had the same experience.I didnt feel pressured,i certaintly didnt have anyone be rude to me, if anything, they made me feel so welcome. I left twice not making my mind up about a second dress for my daughters wedding and not once were they rude to me because I didnt purchase a dress, as a few of the reviewers claimed..In my experience dealing with the public myself, owning my own business, I realize that no matter how very nice you are to people, some people are just plain miserable and love to complain or you just cant please them.God forbid They(the customer) are rude and dont get free stuff handed over to them, then the bad reviews start pouring in, topped with exaggeration. In all fairness and due honesty, I have never met a more lovely woman than Marcella and her staff. She is on top of everything that everyone is doing.I was actually exhausted watching her( the owner) run around that store.lol. The store itself is very clean and do beautifully designed and organized to accommodate her dresses. The dresses themselves all look like dresses Charlene Therein would wear to the Academy awards. I cant rave enough about my experiences at this beautiful high end bridal boutique. After buying two mother of the bride dresses here,if I had five more children, I wouldnt go anywhere else. Its a pleasure coming here and your always made to feel so welcome. The most Friendliest, Professional People with high end expertise in their field. Thank you so much for making me feel like a million bucks.I am so excited for both my childrens weddings and my experience finally finding the right dresses, along with people who make you feel like youve known them all their lives, that much extra special. Respectfully, Laurie Czarzasty P.s-My sincerest thank yous to Sue and Christine! They went up and beyond to help me with everythjng..What an exceptional group of people!:))

SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT USE THEM! If I could give Mariella Creations a negative score I would in a heart beat. Dealing with this store for my wedding dress was a mistake and a disaster. The first dress I tried on there I feel in love with, but I needed to go to other stores to try on other dresses. They were not very happy when I did not immediately want to buy the dress. This was my first experience, I brushed it aside and continued to work with the store (I bought that first dress). One night I went to the store to obtain a swatch (since my dress was off white) and I wanted to use it for tux shopping. My fiancee was standing right next to me and I told them who he was and that the dress should be a surprise. Of course the woman brings the sample of my dress down from upstairs comes up to me and my fiance and says here is your dress, I just need to go and get you a swatch. There went the surprise of my dress. My first fitting was fine. The dress fit perfectly except in the butt and thighs. I even took a picture. I watched the scale like a hawk and did not gain an ounce between that first fitting and my wedding day. At my second fitting, the dress could not even be zipped. I was told I was either bloated or gained weight. I was also told to come back in 2 weeks to try it again. I came back in two weeks still the same weight and the dress did not fit. At the third fitting they let the dress out so that it could be zipped. Of course at that point the chest was too big, so the owner pinned it for the alterations (including adding cups to my bra). At the fourth fitting no work was done from the third fitting, meaning the chest was still not fitting. I could not believe it because the owner even did the pinning (and there were two weeks between my third and fourth fitting). I made them do the alterations while I waited. I was told I needed to come for a fifth fitting once the lace was fixed. At the fifth fitting I complained about all of my issues. I even tried to show them pictures from my first fitting. The owner told me I gained weight from my first fitting to my second and she could prove it with the chest measurements from my fourth fitting. My first fitting measurements did not include the cups that they added to my bra and if that was the only measurement that changed then that does not proof I gained weight. They did not want to hear it and the owner could only say my chest size changed. I had to pay an extreme amount for alternations, when one of the workers told me at the first fitting that I would not have to pay much, since it fit almost perfect. I was put down by saying I gained weight and/or was bloated. I had to travel 50 minutes one way for each fitting. And I did not like the end result of the alternations to my dress. I REGRET WORKING WITH MARIELLAS CREATIONS AND WILL NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!!!!

I was part of a Bridal party who got our dresses from Mariellas. I dont think Ive ever wasted more money in my life. Most of us dont live that close, but the shop insisted that everyone get fitted at their store. We all got fitted in November or December for a mid-July wedding. I was told I needed a size 6, and normally being a size 0 or 2 I told them that I though this would be too large. They insisted so I ordered the 6. Our dresses were supposed to arrive in April but didnt come in until lat May. On top of that, none of our dresses even came close to fitting any of us. Everyones dress was too large on them except one girl whose was too small. What was the point of getting fitted by their staff then if they didnt measure us properly?? All of our hems were VERY crooked as well (2 inches different from one side to the other) and the dresses were supposed to have straps, which they came with, but only one girls straps were already sewn on like they were supposed to be. The front of my dress in particular has very crooked sewing but because the dresses came in so late there was no getting another one. They charged us to alter the dresses and put the straps on, of course. And anytime they make a mistake, they try to keep charging you to fix the dress, which is what they did to our Brides mother for her dress. They dont take any responsibility for the craftsmanship of the dresses that come in or even for their own seamstress work, and as a vendor they should stand behind the brands they sell, or at least warn customers about the risks of certain companies, and they should stand behind their own alterations. In all honesty, we think what happened is that there was some kind of problem with the order and then they had to have the company do a rush order to get the dresses in and thats why they look like they were made by a blind 5-year-old. Whether or not this was a fault of the company, or a fault of the dress shop, Mariellas should have taken a little more responsibility for the hot mess that is all of our dresses. To their credit, Mariellas did do our hems for free and thats the only reason a few of us got our alterations done there. After alterations, my dress is still slightly off center in front. It was specifically pinned during my fitting so that it wouldnt be off center but now there is nothing that can be done to fix that. It doesnt help that the dress was crooked to begin with. In retrospect I think I would have done my alterations elsewhere. And, considering that our Bride is the first of us all to get married, I dont think any of us will be going there when we get married.
