SO I will try to keep this short but reading the other complaint from Rachael B. on YELP, it was the exact same thing I experienced. SO READ the other reviews on here and also on YELP and buyer beware. If you want cheap and inexpensive, then Arend Visher with Visher Flooring and Cabinets is your man. If you want some pride in workmanship and basic consideration, since you are the consumer and YOU ARE PAYING for a service, you might want to look elsewhere. I too was fooled and scammed by this guy and from the looks of it he moved from Utah to the Denver area. He made everything sound like it was all on track and we were ready for the demo and install. The times he tells you for “his guys” to show up are nowhere near accurate. The demo guy showed up and said I am here to demo a bathroom (Uh.. we are remodeling a kitchen, so now I became suspicious). Come to find out he was a friend of a friend since Arends CRAIGLIST guy never showed. Same thing with “his tile guy”, a no show. So Arend laid the tile. I will not get into the narrow lines in spots because his spacers moved or the raised spots in the tile since “his demo guy” didn’t vacuum or sweep up before he laid down the backboard. I will let my pictures do the rest of the talking if Google will let me post them, if not go to YELP to see them. Common issues to look for on his work: Cracked wood because of how it was nailed in spots, too big a hole for the microwave cord. He does not cleanup, sweep, mop or keep his work space clean at the end of the day you will have to do it. (Even though I had a big shop vac sitting out for him my kids and myself would clean after he was done.) Missing kick board, under cabinet microwave installed incorrectly and with ONLY 2 screws holding the mount on. Microwave installed to close to the wall so it would not open properly. Dishwasher does not fit correctly in between cabinets. He told the Granite guy that we did not want the 4 inch granite back splash. I guess that would save him money and he would make more on his end. I had the granite guy come back the next day and install it since that is what I paid for. Good things about Visher Cabinets and flooring: I found a good Granite guy who takes pride in his work. It’s finally over.

Arend Visher is absolutely terrible! He told me he would be to my house at 11 am to install my kitchen cabinets and told me he would have the job completed that same day. Arend did not show up to my house until 6:30 pm to install my cabinets when the job should have already been completed by this time. His excuse was the cabinets took him longer to assemble then he thought. He didnt finish the job until 5:45 pm the next day. Once the job was completed I noticed multiple things that were done poorly. The cut he made in our cabinet for an electrical box is much larger then needed and was very uneven and just looks sloppy. Also he never finished installing our toe kicks on our cabinets, he left saw dust in all the cabinets which I had to clean out and he installed almost every handle on our cabinets unlevel which is very noticeable with the type of handles that we chose. So when he finally completed the job that he showed up to 6 and a half hours late and took 2 days to complete instead of 1 and performed tasks subpar I asked him if he was willing to offer me a discount on my remaining balance due and he said no. So apparently Arend Visher believes this to be acceptable work to provide to his customers. I asked him to discount our remaining balance $350 due to the things I discussed above. I think that seems equitable to both parties. He has taken this so far as to add additional charges to our invoice that we never discussed or agreed upon and is threatening to take us to small claims court due to our dispute and us not willing to pay the full amount. I do not want anyone else to have to deal with an awful experience with Arend Visher. I am not the only one who has had a terrible experience with him you can read about his other terrible experience with another customer on here as well as yelp. Stay far away from Arend Visher of Visher Cabinets!

My experience with Visher (Arend) was very poor. I didnt give him the lowest rating because I accept some of the blame because I was looking for a cheap price. But when you get poor quality, its expensive! Im sure the repairs will cost thousands. Im not going to go into the nightmarish details, except to say the 6 week process took 5 months. At our first meeting, Arend was knowledgeable enough and seemed to understand what we wanted, but didnt seem to inform his then helper, Luis, of what we wanted. Add to that the fact that we couldnt communicate with Luis because of a language barrier. We suffered through at least 3 "redos" of our cabinets because of ignored details and poor quality. Arend wasnt around during the process because he was setting up shop in Colorado. I was really annoyed when he blamed a different company for the additional 2.5 month delay. Long story short, I decided not to hastily post a review immediately, but wanted to wait to see how the cabinets held up. I am sad to say that the finish is very poor and the 1 year old cabinets look at least 5 years old now. The paint is peeling in areas away from water and high traffic areas, like upper cabinets. Many of the joints on the faces have opened up leaving a rough gap. Were the paint is peeling from the posts, there appears to be no primer at all...just bare wood under flaking paint. I would reach out to Arend to give him a chance to fix this stuff, but he got so nasty at the end...granted I did want a discount...but threatening a lien on my home when he was so obviously negligent isnt cool. I really wouldn’t trust any project to Arend. It’s too bad, cause he is a decent guy, and probably a decent wood worker. Hes just not organized, communicative or responsible.

I have only good things to say about Arend at Visher Cabinets. We live in Phoenix and were trying to remodel my mother in laws kitchen. She passed away in September. We had a couple people come out through Homeadvisor to give us estimates. The estimates were ridiculous. Seems that most contractors in Denver right now think they can charge whatever they want and I guess people are paying it. Arends prices were very reasonable and he did everything he was contracted to do. He was always available, showed up on time and did a nice job. I am extremely happy that we found his company and I wouldnt hesitate to use him again. I am a Realtor in Phoenix and I have done many remodels. I have contractors that I trust that I can call and say please go do this job and I am confident that they will do it correctly and at a fair price. I feel the same way about Arend. I wish we had known about his company before we purchased granite at the Granite Depot. His price for granite was much less than we paid and I am sure it would have been nice. A couple of the other reviewers had issues with him but I had none. I highly recommend him for cabinets and flooring.
