The customer service at Joanns is pathetic. Their biggest item, fabric, is the worst thing to have to buy there. I have been to multiple Joanns in multiple states and the experience is always the same. The cutting table is woefully understaffed, and the people working there are horribly slow and show zero concern for the customer. Anyone walking into the store can instantly assess the situation by looking at all the glaring stares from the women waiting hopelessly in line for the cutting table. And yet no one behind the counter seems the least bit interested in hurrying. They go about their task at a snails pace, stopping to chat with each other, randomly leaving when it’s their break time regardless of how many customers are waiting, and so on. Pathetic. I do everything I can to avoid Joanns and only submit to going there when I can’t find the fabric I need anywhere else. How do they stay in business?? I spent nearly 2 hours in the store today to buy 4 pieces of fabric (again, only because I had no place else to go, though I would have gladly paid higher prices elsewhere if I could have just gotten some service). While there I saw several women come in, look at the line and the angry faces of other customers, and turn around and walk out. The cashiers are the same. Don’t go unless you absolutely have to. If you do, bring a book and get comfortable.

horrible customer service. Ive been here a total of three times since Ive moved here and I will never go back. Would rather order online for another company or just go somewhere else. Every time I go the wait for check out is horrible. This time was the worst. they had two people upfront, one checking someone out who had about 50 pieces of loose same colored paper. The cashier didnt just count the total number of the SAME paper but rather scanned each one very slowly. All while chatting about this cricket machine she got and how she made Hanna Montana cards. Would even stop scanning the paper to talk. The other girl was doing nothing but taking out the cashiers trash, then joined in on the chat about wanting to make a joanns cake with fabric rolls and everything and eventually got to me when two other people got in line behind me. Before this I had the same issue with waiting at the check out, a rude worker who almost ran down my 3 year old with a shopping cart because she raced around a corner. I find the store is okay and would of liked to continue shopping there but really Id rather spend my money somewhere else then deal with this lack of customer service.

Just moved to CO Springs.. my old Joanns was wonderful..maybe I got spoiled. The store is huge and selection is great.. but everything I read in the reviews about this place is true; I thought maybe impatient people were exaggerating. I needed a single snip on a bolt of trim.. I waited for nearly an hour before giving up and leaving (I was still 20 numbers back, and it took nearly an hour to get through the first 24 numbers. Id found tickets on the floor of people whod given up.. but even getting closer in line.. I just couldnt wait any longer with my husband and kid. When I saw then checkout line was doubled back with at least 30 people in it.. we left. A store this big needs more staff. I love joanns but Ill need to find an alterative fabric shop here in CO springs

Great selection and sales, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable employees. Just like Michaels, dont shop here without a coupon--look on their website. But it can be SO busy and slow at the fabric cutting table, especially on the weekends and during sales! If you are coming in to buy fabric and it is busy, you should consider taking a number well before you are done with your shopping. Otherwise, you will have 30 min to 1 hour to kill while you wait for them to call your number. Something nice to do is if you happen to be just ahead of someone else with just 1 or 2 bolts of fabric to cut, and you have more, swap numbers and let them go ahead. I think they should have an express lane in the fabric department just like the grocery store during busy times!

No customer service and extremely long and sloowwww lines. I tried to buy just a couple small things recently but the line was so ridiculous I gave up... Except I had my daughter in a stroller and they made it to where the only ways out of the store was to wait in the long checkout line to escape or make everyone in line move so you can get through. Another customer had to move carts out of their inside cart corral so that we could get the stroller and ourselves through without having to go through the line! I guess we also could have pried the automatic entrance door open somehow too?Like why in the hell is there not an actual exit for people who arent purchasing? Ill save myself the awkward situation and time and go to the other craft stores.

Ive been to this store location, but as another review said, if you want fabric, grab a number when you get there. They do get busy because they are the only affordable option compared with Walmart in town. I drive 15-20 min because most stores that are closer destroy any budget. Ive only really had one less that pleasing moment and that was being double charged for a drinking cup. I had a lot of stuff and the cashier wasnt sure if it was scanned. I barely got a chance to see the recipt, but it was clearly on the recipt. After seeing the recipt at home, I was not going to drive all the way back for $5. I vote they open a location in university village, or somewhere along i25.

Had a horrible experience here. Wanted to buy a continuous piece of fabric. Waited in line an hour to have it cut. When it was finally our turn, the fabric on the bolt was cut into pieces between 1 yd and 4 yds. Apparently this is their normal practice (to put the pieces back onto the bolt...) it was worthless to me, and the girl helping us said they didnt have anymore. Went home quite angry. Called to speak to manager and she set it right. I would give it zero stars if the manager had not been so helpful. Unfortunately when I went to pick up the fabric, another manager helped me and was not nearly as helpful. But they set the issue right so I appreciate it.

Very poor customer service. When asked where a product was located the customer was told to wait a few minutes while the employee clocked in. After doing so she told the customer the item was located right behind her.On the same visit fabric was purchased. When asked to make 2 or 3 extra cuts the customer was told that they didnt do that and gave the impression that there were too many customers. After pointing out the obvious fact that they were not very busy, the customer was told they could not take the time to make extra cuts because a truck needed to be unloaded.

I loved the old Joanns where we used to live, they were quick at the cutting table, and seemed to have a good "system" going. This Joanns is AWFUL! I dont think I have ever seen more than 2 people working the cutting table. Ive never waited less than 45 minutes for fabric to be cut. The workers that are at the cutting table, seem to just wander off, not with a customer. The people at the check out counters have NO personality. I really wish there was another store in town. I KNOW other Joanns have such better service.
