This is the only place you need to go for art supplies. They are well-stocked in everything art related, and if they dont have it, they will order it for you. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable on the products they sell, and if they arent, theyll get someone who is. Most products are priced below MSRP, and they have two bi-annual sales that promise good deals. Just know that they will not accept returns on any opened item, unless the product is clearly defective. This is fine for open stock pencils, pens, pastels, etc, since you can try before you buy. If you are unsatisfied with a product, however, they will not accept it if it has been opened. So, just know that if youre trying something new, you will be stuck with it, whether you like it or not.

The stuff they have here is so so great! However, I feel like you need to know a lot about art to shop here... the staff made me feel this way. I went in to shop for oil paint material, and had a few questions about the thinners used. (I am very new to oil painting). I asked the employee checking me out, she responded to my questions as if they were completely unreasonable. She also looked at me like I was stupid, and talked to me that way. I let her know that this was new to me, and I just needed clarification, but the way she responded to my questions made me look and feel like such an idiot. I was mortified, and just decided to stop asking questions. Do your research before going here to save yourself from staff making you feel like youre stupid.

Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and their selection and price are great. Honestly, its surprising how much theyve crammed into that little store. Their drawing tools and illustration media are great. I was so happy to find somewhere that sold crow quill holders and nibs after searching Michaels and Hobby Lobby (which are nothing but disappointing on a constant basis). Their selection of Micron Pens was impressive. Ill keep going back here and want to find some time to eventually stop by and pick up some illustration board. Their prices on just about all of their illustration media was MUCH lower than either chain store I visited.

Fountain pen fans: Meiningers has a small selection of writing paper, pens and inks including Lamy, Noodlers, and J. Herbin. However, the staff is not knowledgeable on this front and dont make any effort to research or help you find what your looking for. Unless you know exactly what you want and they have it, or you have few to no questions, best to go online with Goulet or Anderson, both whom are passionate about pens and take time to help. As fountain pen usage continue to catch fire, perhaps well get a pen shop in the Springs.

My big brother and his girlfriend introduced this store to me today. I had no clue it ever existed and when I stepped inside I almost cried. Its honestly one of the most magical places on Earth and I cant believe it exists in this small town. I always assumed nice art supply stores were only located in Denver or youd have to buy online and pay a ridiculous amount for shipping. Im so glad this store exists. Theres so many supplies to choose from. I was overwhelmed. Its heaven for any artist!

This place is getting a three because the first time I went there to get some art supplies. I asked one of the workers where something is and he brought me to the wrong section and he wasnt very friendly. So I asked another worker and she understood what I was talking about and showed me exactly what I was looking for.

Meiningers is a lovely little art store with a lot of quality supplies. The staff are friendly and helpful without pestering you. Free parking. The atmosphere is inspiring and every time I visit I want to expand my artistic expertise beyond the realms it currently is.
