I went there with blisters on my hands in so much pain i was crying- ive had said blisters for over a week and no dr would listen when i told them i was allergic to the steriods they were putting me on for said condition. the women at the cottage were helpful and walked me through several things i could use before i settled on 3 things. Now 2 days later i need to go back for the ointment but my hands are like night and day better- i am in love!! Thank you so much for helping me when the drs couldnt- i knew it was internally not externally and they took the time to listen and help!!! Thank you so much- was just what i expected and beyond!! Thank you so much for the relief and just for being there for me in my time of need- when i know me better than the drs, i will not be going anywhere else!!!! <3 THANK YOU!!!

Natural Grocers, formerly, Vitamin Cottage. Is a major local natural food store. They are unusually committed to organic foods, which can sometimes affect the availability of some produce in their stores. But, with my diet sensitivities, their commitment to being more than just a "natural" food store and push us toward progressively more humane and organic food helps me find foods I can eat. I shop here to support local business and also because their selection is usually better than other similarly sized stores.

Every time Ive walked in, Ive been treated like an ignorant barbarian for having the temerity to answer the question, "Can I help you find anything?" When I came in to look for creme fraiche, a man with a porn-star mustache treated me as though Id asked him for black-market baby organs. I get it if you dont carry it anymore, but you dont have to be a jerk about it.

The staff are friendly and quite knowledgeable. Prices are terrific (considerably better than Whole Paycheck and also the Sprouting Farmers Market -- names modified just for fun). Easy to find organic, responsibly-raised produce, meats, fowl, seafood, eggs and dairy.

Never have the supplements I need and the people are rude if you come in with construction clothes on they treat you like your white trash but if you go in after you shower with your shirt tucked in they treat you like youre a God.

Best produce in town! Bulk spices are cheap and the strongest around! Plus this location has a keg of kombucha so you can refill growlers and reduce waste!
