These lames are a total rip off!! Would give them minus five stars if possible but apparently you have to give at least one star to leave a review. I didnt seek out this page just stumbled across it so I thought Id warn anyone I can by taking them with me on my trip down memory lane haha. Ill keep this as brief as possible. Ive only gone here years ago when in a bind and the real pawn shop in town was closed...and a few times more recently just to see how messed up these guys really are. Every item Ive brought in an item they told me it was worth less than a fraction of what it was really worth. They act like they know everything about everything and they really dont know squat! For example, I brought in a few coins and Gary (chief moron) said they couldnt give me a dollar a piece and that they were pretty much worthless, I took the same exact ones to a real coin dealer and he offered me $95 for the cheapest on up to $250 for the most expensive...I kept them and found they were worth even more! After that (and I shouldve video taped this whole ordeal and put it on YouTube) I brought in a coin worth over $4,200 and acted hard up just to see what theyd say. Gary said it was only worth the melt value and would only give me $5 for it, hahaha!! So I told him to research it and left with it...a week later I brought in some similar looking ones that werent nearly the same amount and then he was all about it but trying to hustle me thinking he was gonna come up lol. He was all over it that time. I intentionally waited a day past the due date to see if hed be honest and work with me. Well they mysteriously disappeared lol. I called almost every day for a month or two and always the same response "Its somewhere at the warehouse, Ill call you when we find it." Finally I go in and "Sorry bro (a term a lot of rip-off artist middle eastern cons use when theyre screwing you), cant find it." These guys have ripped me and many many people I know off, I will never go there again unless theres a riot haha! A few years ago they tried reselling an amplifier and rack mount back to me that I had pawned my first time in there for 8 times what they originally said it was worth! And that one they gave me a puny loan on at the time because they could tell I was in a hurry and needed a few bucks real quick. If youre going to go to a pawn shop go to Simi Pawn, theyve been in business much longer and Im not racist at all but they are actually honest Americans with morals. Reliable Rip-Offs is what these guys should be called!! Ive sat there and in less than an hour watched them do it to several people that came in there hard up for cash, telling them that what they had was worth pennies or nothing at all so they could give them $10 or less and then sell the item for 10 times and beyond what they said it was worth. Ive seen them do this to people with musical gear I happened to be very familiar with and knew was worth much much more than what they said it was. Their trick is that they use filters on Ebay to find a similar item that sold for as little as they can find, from however long ago and in the worst condition they can find...and then they say they have to make a profit so they cant give you anything or very little. They tried that on me once and I went on my phone in front of them, changed the filters and showed them what the item was really worth. Response?? "No, no BRO... (blah blah blah)." Im sure the few positive reviews you see are either them posing as customers themselves, family members or just not so smart people because these guys are complete scum!! The universe and the Creator of this universe will definitely take care of these ones and all like them : )

I have never taken the time to write a review about a business before, but please read this if you have a minute. This is the greatest business Ive had the privilege of stumbling upon in years. Having to take a loan out on your most priceless possession can be very difficult and sad, but Gary and his brother were so respectful and reasonable that I have no insecurities about leaving my instrument with them. I used to go to the Simi Pawn shop right down the street from them and was treated abusively and never left the store without arguing with the owner. Gary was so pleasant and grateful for my business that it makes me sick thinking about going anywhere else. In my case, I took a loan out on a very valuable instrument and Reliable Pawn Shop researched my saxophone and allowed me to take out a loan amount that was very fair for my collateral value. They offered to loan me WAY more than I thought they would, three times more than Simi Pawn! And when I told them I didnt need as much as they offered, they respected my decision and didnt pressure me to do anything I wasnt 100% comfortable with. They let me direct the conversation and didnt give me a pitch at all. They also have an amazing selection of high quality items, the likes of which Ive never seen at a pawn shop before. I told them about items I was looking for and they took down my information to call me when something I might be interested in came their way. Sorry this review is so long, but I havent had such a great experience at any store that can compare to their service. I am a life-long customer to these fine gentlemen now and I highly recommend that you pay them a visit even if it means going out of your way. I love you guys at Reliable Pawn!

Where do I start.. Reliable Pawn Shop is the only pawn shop, in my book. These guys have helped me with even the crappiest of items (which isnt very often). But on a serious note, these guys are AWESOME! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and fair. I have established quite the relationship with one of the owners as he has helped me very much when I am in need of quick cash. I have been very surprised with their honesty, as most pawn shops are not. Thank you guys for everything! 1: They pay top dollar, 2: They are helpful 3: Intelligent 4: They have a wide selection of tools, electronics (gaming systems; T.Vs; computers; cameras; speakers & surround sound systems), collectables, some fishing supplies, movies (blue ray,& regular dvds), Musical equipment such as amps, spkr. cabs, guitars, basss, etc. (even mics). 5: They are all around cool, well rounded, genuine guys that just so happen to own the best pawn shop in Simi Valley, CA . Reliable Pawn Shop Is The ONLY Pawn Shop. Go check it out! You will NOT be disappointed.

I find it hard to believe that the previous write-ups have any legitimacy behind them. Either these were written by the owner himself or he had his friends write him good reviews. I have been to many pawn shops in the past. I have pawned items from guitars to other electronics. Not only did the reliable pawn shop try to rip me off, but they are unreasonable and very unhelpful if the item is not something there interested in. I brought in a 400 disc-changer that could play blu-ray and was HDMI capable. Not only did they guy say he didnt want it but he insulted me with a very low ball offer of $30. The item was $1200 new and used sells on e-bay for $280+ and i was only asking for about $100 and he laughed at me. It was incredibly disrespectful and caused me to leave the shop immediately due to the non-professionalism. I STRONGLY recommend going to another pawn shop if you have a choice. There are pawn shops that have better staff and are more helpful in the San Fernando Valley and Camarillo.
