Here is the copy of the letter I had to write. What a disappointment... Dear Sirs, I just wanted to let you know I am very disappointed with your service. On November 30th, 2012 at your Roseville, CA, store, I ordered the cooked brisket you were advertising on your website in the section reserved for holiday meals for $ 29.99 --the one with carrots, celery, cooked in red wine. My order number was 892735 and the brisket had to be picked up at 11:00am on December 24th, 2012 --today. I think you can hardly imagine my surprise when today around twelve, one of your employee helping with the holiday meals got a piece of raw meat from your meat department and handed it to me. I explained to her I was expecting the brisket advertised on your website: It was supposed to be cooked. After a several minutes, I was answered that because of the Hanukkah, they got confused and the brisket was not prepared for me. I was offered to wait two hours so you could cook it, or to receive all the ingredients so I could personally cook the brisket at home. Since I dont live in Roseville, I could not wait two hours wandering there, and, if I ordered an cooked brisket, I dont see why I should cook it myself. Unfortunately, my Christmas lunch has been ruined and I think you should really know that I am very disappointed for this reason. Also, one last thought. I do not understand why you bother to ask for customers phone numbers if you dont use the number in case you have any doubts about the order. Not that there was something to understand here. The order was very clear, one of your employes printed it for me: one beef/brisket PLU/UPC:41907, order number 892735 - Placed 11/30/2012 4:48 PM. It was not difficult... I drive all the way from Yuba City every week to buy my groceries at Whole Foods in Roseville, but I will never ever order one single holiday meal from you in the future, and wont suggest the sad experience to any of my friends. Sincerely, Marili Gattini

For the most part this is a good store. But there is one MAJOR complaint that I have. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL OF SELL BY DATES! This is like the third time I have gotten sick from their food. I seriously think they do not print appropriate sell by dates or it couldve been cross contamination. Twice it happened in the bakery. Once with a rice and olive salad I bought. If buying a prepared food there, assume it is going to go bad two days before the date printed on label. This is actually a health hazard. I bought some cheese the other day and it went bad really quickly as well. I think they might be purposely printing wrong sell by dates to sell their food for longer periods of time. I dont know that for certain, but with how expensive it is it would make sense. On the other hand the fresh fruit and produce are of excellent quality. I am disappointed that the cheese I bought three days ago is already moldy and had to be thrown out. This customer would really appreciate it if they could be MUCH more careful with those dates. Also, if something is going bad on that date PLEASE TAKE IT OFF THE SHELF! Dont leave it there for someone to buy.

Everyone from Colton McGraw the concierge to the wonderful lady that helped me pick out an orchid(sorry I forgot her name!), to Judy Jacobson Fields the personal shopper that delivered my gift of 2 pies and an orchid to my dad and then writing a wonderful note back to me letting me know my dads reaction and being mindful enough NOT to hand him the receipt was priceless!! Whatever you guys are getting paid I give your boss permission to double it! We as a family have had a very tough year with everything from Cancer (my mom is beating it!) to 2 really unexpected deaths! You just made my dad and me very very happy. Small acts of kindness are the best and I rarely get them in return but as of today...I cant say that any more. Thank you, Carla

Horrible experience!! Today (7/26/13 approx 4 pm) on my way out a girl that was at the door looked at me and said, “hola!” which showed a truly amazing level of ignorance on her behalf. I’m a Latin male, so I suppose if I was an Asian looking individual she would have greeted me by saying, “你好” I hope for her sake she doesnt plan on doing much “world” traveling within her lifetime, as she appears incapable of displaying proper etiquette when she encounters non-English descendants. I’m truly appalled at the hiring choices that some companies make these days, their screening processes, and the lack of maturity of their employees. I’m starting to consider shopping for my organic food choices elsewhere.

In April, I moved back to Roseville from Los Angeles (Sherman Oaks), where I shopped at Whole Foods frequently. I was pleasantly surprised to find this WF so close to home, and must say that I am impressed by the size and cleanliness of this store. I do, however, miss the fabulous fruit/nut scones they carry in LA. I have to stock up on them every time I travel to LA. Also, I was disappointed that the classes they give are not in a more private area. You have sit on folding chairs in a busy part of the store, which made it difficult to hear the instructor. I appreciate that they offer classes, but wont attend another one for this reason.

3 for now, hopefully not 2 later. The prices keep rising for no apparent reason, why? Maybe just to see how much they can charge before people will stop paying high prices. Chicken in a three-pack goes for $27, breasts yet. The pizza rivals Chuck E Cheese for cardboard flavor, no one seems to care about this. People need to think before they patronize places like this, what about Bel Air markets, they have excellent customer service, no attitude, always helpful, everything you would need and more, nearly equal to WFs? Some chains have to go through the hubris cycle, hopefully WFs will get the picture.

This place has gone downhill. You pay high prices and do everything self-serve. Really a bread machine for people to slice their own bread? Sounds like a liability nightmare. I may sound snobbish, but this place is missing the mark on where quality and pricing should meet. I would rather save my money and go elsewhere for organic food. It isnt the employees fault; they are always friendly. Corporate management needs to give their employees and their service a bit of TLC.

Its alright. The customer service is good some days, and other days you get the urban hipster employee who gives you the attitude and eye-rolling. My bad, I had no idea where to look for a particular item... Thats why I called upon your expertise but instead Im met with rudeness and the reaction like what I said originated from another planet. They need to do a better job of being more patient and friendly sadly.

My girlfriend and I went to get a sandwich and the deli guy, Tim refused to take our order without us filling out a sandwich form. We insisted on just telling him our order which he wouldnt listen to. After a quick argument we decided to eat else where. Keep in mind they had no business and were refusing to take our order like they had something better to do. Never going to whole foods in Roseville again.
