This place is for people like Ron Swanson from parks and rec. If you cant figure out if something is a piece of crap or a good deal go back to home depot. Fyi the best things to buy depend on the manufacturing capabilities of China. Basic steel forged materials/magnets and commodity electronics are good. The things that are bad are going to be aluminum based products and products that rely heavily on engineered plastics or high tolerances. This spot is the best place to prototype anything.

Every job has the right tool for it.. and sometimes that tool is a $10 angle grinder. why buy a $79 one when youre only gonna use it once? or immediately fill it with concrete dust? many of these tools are the same thing sold elsewhere but rebranded. for example, the Pittsburgh adjustable wrenches are the same as Stanley brand. i could go on forever. make no mistake, the quality of many of their products can be downright bad, but sometimes it doesnt matter.

The type of place that even though you plan on going in & buying just one item you end up spending an hour there and buying stuff you didnt even realize you needed....... It happens every time. .... Re: the previous comments about the employees I cant disagree w/ them. Most of them really seem like they dont want to be there. Even their "hello, welcome to Harbor Freight" is 1/2 ass. Lol.

The lines are always slow due to slow checkout service. The people here see you waiting, look away, look at you again, look down, check under the counter, then after 3 minutes they call you up. About time! Trying to find employees to help you on the floor, good luck. Cant give this place a completely bad review though, after all, we are speaking about a tool store. I love Harbor Freight.

Location is OK not too bad. The shop not only provides quality tools for most works in budget, they serve customers well. I wont say everything is No. 1 but most of the time, I shop there. Thumbs up for coupons and sales clearance. Keep it on!

Wish I found this place years ago. Would have saved major $$ on my tools. And if you buy something that breaks, they have a pretty good return policy. Can have long lines at times but they work pretty hard to move people thru quick.

They are fraudulent and cant keep promises. What ever was said the day before is not valid the next day. Be careful to only buy right on that same day and take that with you. I wont trust them with anything else.

So far, good, and the quality does vary. If you know how to use the tool or item you should be able to decide if it is up to the job. Some stuff is good for the hobbyist, and other things are professional grade.

Harbor Freight has everything you may need even in a less expensive price range it still works for me although customer service can get better.
