I dont get it, Ace Hardware locate this store as "Ace Hardware" but when I got there, I saw a BIG ACE HARDWARE sign in the front but then I cant buy with "Ace Hardware" gift certificate that I got from last year xmas gift. Wth is that ? on top of that, they have a exactly the same product + same brand + same package (box) with different prices, AND they have the same product + same brand + different package with completely different prices, like $8 different. no kidding !! And the customer representative was laughing pretty loud like there is nobody in the store. It would be my 1st time and last time to step into this store. F- for this tore.

I first started using Cannings for over 20 years and continue to use them as my “go to” hardware store. Although I have Lowes, Home Depot and a True Value all within the same vicinity, the fact that I make Cannings my preferred store must say something. I don’t have to hunt for someone to help me and in many cases the prices are the same or less at Cannings. I quite frankly liked Cannings before they modernized and joined the Ace group. It was truly an old school store but it’s still a good and well stocked store. Its a good sign when you always see professionals shopping at Cannings.

The younger gentlemen that works at this location was very helpful. I have a chinese 150cc scooter, and needed a new key for it. He was looking at a couple and no luck, but he looked at one that was the same size and had the same edges. He had me try to fit it in the ignition and seat, while the key was not cut so it was just a blank. It fit, and so he cut one, and it worked. I tried finding a locksmith, but the one off of whittier blvd. would not have opened till 9:30 am, this location opens very early. I will definitely be back for more!

This place is the best. I had a broken key I needed copied and they did it in about 2 minutes. Home depot made me wait 20 minutes to talk to someone only to tell me it couldnt be done. This is my go-to place now! Fast and friendly service!
