Worst customer service ever experienced. I tried to return a brand new product I had purchased as a gift. It was over their 30 day return policy. Had a heated argument with the manager about why I wouldnt get my money back. Most other stores would have made an exception. I spent an hour on the phone with customer service to resolve the issue since the store manager was quick to pawn me off to them and not attempt to resolve my concern. I finally settled for store credit. The manager was not happy that I contacted customer service and complained even though he’s the one that referred me to them. The item was brand new and never opened. It could have been placed on the shelf and sold quickly with the holidays less than a month away. Once I left the store, the manager voided the store credit without my knowledge or approval. I was not notified. Luckily I tried to make a purchase a week later and couldn’t. I spent 3 hours on the phone with multiple customer service reps to figure out why and was told that I needed to return to the store to resolve my issue. No explanation as to why. Mind you the store was not the one near my house. It was an hour away from my house since that’s the area where I was shopping that day. I contacted the store and spoke to a manager. He had no clue what was wrong and couldn’t give me a straight answer. I drove to the store and met the manager at the door along with 2 rather large men, as if I’m a criminal and need to be escorted out by force. They handed me my product back and asked me to leave. I wonder how this would have been resolved it I had waited longer to discover my store credit was reversed. They would have most likely sold the product and forgotten what happened. I’d be left with no product and no store credit. The manager looked like some high school dropout that worked his way up the ladder on his knees. Their telephone customer service folks are the most useless bunch of inbreeds I’ve had to deal with. Their prices are never competitive. Do a 5 minute search online and you’ll find a host of other stores you can purchase the same merchandise at much lower prices. They only thing Best Buy is good for is to look at a product before buying it cheaper online. I’ll be happy when these idiots go out of business. It’s just a matter of time at the rate they’re going.

My daughters two old refrigerator ice maker stopped working. The service company found a Freon leak when attempting to install the new ice maker. The serviceman disconnected the refrigerator. She was without a refrigerator for four days while the selling company determine how they were going to honor the warranty. I needed a new refrigerator within one or two days. Best buy has large supply of all major appliances. I had previously purchases several appliances from the Hastings Village store from Team Member Gibram. He has always provided excellent service. He scheduled delivery within a reasonable time. There was a problem with the stores phone system the day I tried to call. I made arrangement for a call back early in the morning. Gibram was off in the morning and I received a call from Anthony P. He took my order over the phone and schedules delivery of the refrigerator for the next day. The new LG refrigerator was delivery the next day. They third party delivery and installers arrived as scheduled. They connected the refrigerator without any problems and instructed the family about the features of the refrigerator. They recommended that the refrigerator run for 24 hours before storing any food and to dispose of the first three gallons of water before drinking any water.

Horrible customer service. Tried to return a bad laserjet ink cartridge and the arrogant adolescent-aged "manager on duty" acted as if I was trying to rip him off. The smug little jerk refused to take back the bad item. I had to fight for over 30 minutes but I refused to take no for answer. Eventually, the manager for the next shift showed up and was more resonable. I finally got a replacement item but Im not sure if it was worth the aggrevation! Also beware of their extended warrenty plans. I once purchased a microwave that malfunctioned and when I took it in they told me they would not replace it until they tried to fix it first! They said it could take 4-6 weeks to repair. (and they might take at least two attempts to fix it?). In fact, I did wait about two months and two attempts before they finally refunded the money (not including the price of the warrenty). Ive never been impressed with the quality of customer service at Best Buy, but since Circuit City and CompUSA have disappeared it seems they have gotten even worse. Thank goodness we still have some competition from Amazon and Frys to keep the prices in check.

Not at all surprised by so many low reviews. Supervisor in laptops seems nonchalant on making sales or helping with problem... Geeksquad guy in Sales area confidently gave wrong answers on subjects relating to tablet/ android... They could have made a $ 1000 laptop sale but no one seemed bothered. Asked one of the girls - blond wavy hair - at a cash register (two of them busy on phone calls every now and then, giggling otherwise, no customers at counter) to set up/ restart a laptop to be able to run demo & check specs... She acted as if she was doing me a favor. Most people including supervisor Matt (?) seemed ignorant on products, software, everything... Absolutely ignorant and rather revelling in it, instead of spending time understanding their business and knowing their products. The only decent guy seemed to be Rudy from mobile sales, polished, helpful, professional, and rather uncomfortable with some of the uncaring behavior of collegues around. If i were GM of store, Id make him the Supervisor for mobile and laptop, and fire a few people from laptop customer service.

Horrible delivery service. The delivery company was suppose to call the night before to set up delivery time. No call. We called the next morning and waited for 30min on the phone and finally someone pick up and said it will be 2-6pm in the afternoon but will get a phone call 30min before arrival. No call. By 4:30pm, we call again and was told the frig was picked up by the company and should call 30min before they arrive. No call. They just showed up. Turns out they had the wrong phone number. This is absurd because in the conversation with Best Buy through out the day, the phone number has been confirmed and reconfirmed with them. Why couldnt the delivery people just ask Best Buy? They cant be that incompetent! I called the sales rep, they just said the delivery was done on time. I couldnt believe that all they cause such terrible inconvenience and horrible situation they put their customers through and still have the attitude that they still delivered on time...Horrible delivery company and horrible customer service. Will never buy from this store again!!!

Horrible experience. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT buy major appliances here! You will receive AWFUL customer service. My family bought a Samsung washer/dryer set with stacking kit. It was installed incorrectly! The installation guy was incompetent and plugged in the machine lines to a surge protector rather than the wall outlet. Now we cannot run heavy duty cycle on both machines at the same time since too much power is being generated. Best Buy acknowledges that this was improper installation but refuse to send somebody to fix it. Ive gone to the Pasadena Best Buy store to ask for assistance. The Pacific Sales rep was not only unhelpful but also rude. Ive called Best Buys customer service twice, and they referred me to Best Buy Customer Care. I was told theyd respond to my message in 48 hours. Its been over a week, and I still havent gotten a response. Go elsewhere for your major appliances! Its a big purchase, and you should buy from a company that stands behind its products and service. Best Buy fails completely with its customer service.
