Your experience here is going to rely heavily on what department you decide to meander into, and my poor experience was in the mens shoes department. It was my fiances birthday, and I was looking to buy him a pair of shoes that he really wanted, and these werent just random cheap shoes, they were nice, designer and expensive a.k.a. giving someone good commission for helping me. He and I were sitting there together, and no one even attempted to talk to us. The salesman on the floor was too busy flirting with women coming into the store. When I finally went up to him and asked "Excuse me, could you get me a pair of these shoes in the right size? Id like to buy them for my fiance." He looked at me as though I had asked him the most impossible favor in the world. He let out a deep sigh of frustration and said "Fine." I, of course, then responded by saying "You know what, dont worry about it. Ill let you get back to flirting with those girls over there who are CLEARLY interested in buying mens shoes." Dont waste your time or money here. You will get a much better experience at designer specific storefronts or any of the other department stores.

I dont know a lot about fashion and I dont look forward to shopping, but Ive always had good experiences at this store. The staff is great for people like me who dont know their way around a clothing rack and want to be helped by people who dont make you feel like an idiot. Typical exchange: Me: I need to buy a suit. Nordstrom employee: This one is good, and heres why. Me: This is my credit card. If youre getting a mens suit, ask for Jelly Love. He looked at me, pulled one off the rack, and it fit almost perfectly. I was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes.

Love this Nordstrom! Ive only come here to get shoes and makeup, and the service has been great. Its also not very busy which means that I can ask more questions, linger at looking at the different makeup counters, etc. I would recommend going on a weekday night to make sure to avoid the weekend crowds! The people who work here are extremely attentive and immediately take note of when you look like you might have a question!

I was always a fan of Nordstrom. Now I am a bigger fan. You know your shopping in the best store and with a great company when you have a problem with something and they "JUMP" to the rescue to do whatever it takes to fix the problem. This store manager is amazing. She is the reason people are die hard Nordstrom fans in silicon valley. Just simply Fantastic. My luggage problem is no more.

Nordstroms at Stanford, has some exceptional sales associates. Amy Abbott in accessories is truly amazing when it comes to helping you to not only select the perfect scarf for your outfit, but will show you some wonderfully innovative ways to tie it.

The store ambiance is overall high-end. Its clean and mostly well designed in terms of layout. The cosmetics section is a bit crowded and the different counters are quite close to one another. The staff there are friendly and helpful.

I was very pleased when I ordered boots online from Nordstrom. They did not charge a shipping and handling fee and I could return the boots if I did not like the fit. It ended up that I love my new boots and the fit is excellent.

Excellent customer service. You might be paying more for a product, but their return policy is the best of any other big box stores anywhere. That alone says a lot about a store that stands behind the products they sell!
