6:30pm last Friday, I was stranded at work. Wasnt sure if it was my battery or starter. I called the local Auto Zone and they were no help. AAA left me on hold for 30 minutes. My last hope was Pep Boys. I called and the most helpful service tech ever answered my call. Even though they were closing in a few minutes, service tech James stayed on the line and tried to diagnose my problem over the phone. He didnt just sell me a battery, he wanted to make sure that was the problem. Then he blew my mind by going above and beyond regular customer service. Realizing I was stuck, he offered to bring me a battery. Keep in mind by this time, the store was closed. After closing up, James delivered AND installed a battery. This was on his own time. He made sure my car was good to go before heading off to go home. I was truly impressed. This was not the kind of service one normally expects from a chain auto parts store. James saved my day!

The people who run this Pep Boys are an absolute joke. I go in for an oil change and a brake line replacement and they say that with my work schedule, it wont be ready for a day. I asked if they could please keep my car in the garage over night because of the shady bar right next door. As I just happened to be driving by this location on the way home from work in a borrowed car, I see my car parked outside; strange. Something inside me told me to go check and see if my car was locked. Thinking that this was Pep Boys, being a reputable, national brand, that they would have the mindset to at least lock their customers property; WRONG. All of the doors on my car were unlocked and all of my belongings were there for the world to take. At least they left the protective seat covering on for whoever could have stolen my car. Thanks Pep Boys, you owe me big time.

My experience was the best customer service Ive had in a long time. The Manager Tony who answer my phone call made me feel very comfortable talking to him about my problem, his voice was so calm. And my machanic Matt was so helpful in every possible way. He not only told me what was wrong with the service I got from the Fullerton service, he showed me. Not that I knew really the differents but Matt explained in details. Hes only 20 yrs old but his knowledge of cars is impeccable. I will not go back to the Fullerton PEPBOYS ever cuz of the lousy job n customer. Service sucks. I have found my place to get maintenance done on my car. Thank you so much Tony and Matt. I will pass the word on to my family n friends.

Saturday, February 18th, 3:30pm Smoking near my car in the work area is not only a potential fire hazzard, its also brings unwanted smoke odors. This is so unprofessional and inconsiderate to have a mechanic smoking in the vicinity with my car windows down. I came in to have my headlight light bulb replaced, and I dont appreciate this. UPDATE:As a courtesy, the manager offered me a air freshener. He also talked with the mechanic and is taking appropriate disciplinary actions. Smoking in the work area is prohibited. The manager handled it. I am p,eased that he did this without me having to complain. Thats why I am modifying my review from 3 stars to 4.

Personally, I much prefer to do my repairs at this Pep Boys location over the larger location on Katella. The Katella store is a great store, but can get a little crazy when you need work done. Rod and his crew are very knowledgeable, and I take them up on their $20 diagnostic all the time. The store is slower due to its size, so you can usually go check your car out while it is on the lift; this is hugely valuable if you do your own work and want to eyeball something before you order parts and bust out your tools. Ive never had any issue with this shop, and like that they have never tried to sell me anything I dont need.

My husband and I were on our way to breakfast when he noticed he his tire pressure was low and had a screw in it. We checked to see who was open (on a Sunday), and luckily this Pep Boys location was. We were greeted promptly and given a 45 minute time estimate. 20 minutes later we were called to say the tire been fixed. When my husband was checking out, Rod (manager) signed him up for their rewards program. That changed his tire patch from $19.99 to $9.99. We took that extra $10 bucks to breakfast with us! Good service. Discounted price. Would return.

Cheaper than walmart on tire installs. Nice waiting room with free wi-fi. Messed up a battery diagnostic though, telling me I had a bad battery when it was really just a loose cable. Also told me all 4 brakes needed changing even though I know my fronts were done only a few months ago. I checked just to be sure and they had plenty of material. Wouldnt trust these guys.

Very thankful for an honest shop. Went there to get my rear brakes done and oil change. (Another shop gave us a list of things our car needed, brakes being one of them.). Pep Boys inspected our brakes and said they are just fine. They have a lot of life left in them. Left there having paid ~$21 for an oil change. Awesome!

I had made an appointment with this location for 7 am and its currently 7:45 am and no one has unlocked the doors. I called the store and it seems like no one is even here. Other customers are outside waiting for service too. Whats there point of making an appointment if no one is going to be here? This location is a joke.

Had an appointment for 8am.arrived on time and was told theyd have to send me to some other pep boys. No call to let me know I drove all the way there and they tried to pawn me off on another pep boys which was booked and not taking anyone.
