Mr. Beanz here: They Suck! A one star because they dont have a ZERO!!!! bought a pair of shorts there for $65. Wanted a second but not in stock so the cashier said they could get them within a few days. So we pay up front. No email saying they came in as promised. So I go in and the dude tells me we picked them up already WTF! So he looks into it and finds hes mistaken. So I end up on their CS line for about 20 minutes trying to figure out where my $65 is. They cancelled the order but didnt say squat about it. So where is my money? Lady says they cut a check on the 21st so it will take 7 business days to get to my home. 14 business days late I am on the phone again talking to another 2 CS reps. Now they tell me it takes 7 day s to process in their system and 2 to 3 weeks to deliver my money back to me. WTF! I have a store receipt and I paid up front, just give me my money back or store credit. Sorry cant do that! WTF! They screwed up and I have to let them have my money for a month? Ive been an in store customer for 20 years and bought a ton of stuff. they can look on their computer system and verify that! I also ordered from other online sites like Ribble and Pro Bike Kit and NEVER HAD A PROBLEM! Funny thing is if you look online, the shorts on which they cancelled my order stay says available online so someone else will probably get screwed too, BEWARE! So Ive spent literally thousands of dollars over the years at Performance but I swear I will never buy another item from them. I paid in the store,have a receipt but they cant give me my money back or credit the debit card. If the store clerks didnt have their heads up their asses, this never would have happened!Goodbye Performance!

Before I get to the 1 star, I want to start with saying SOME workers here are very knowledgable and nice. The store is clean and kept tidy. The 1 star is for the worse customer service Ive ever had with any store. I purchased an item and was shipped to my home but was delivered damaged so I returned it to the store for an exchange. Then they said it was back ordered after like 6 days of not hearing from them. Ive been lied to and told so many times by some employees that it will get there tomorrow, despite the " free 2 day shipping". I then had them cancel it since I was gonna need it for later, only to find out they played that "wait till tomorrow" for my points to come back to my account (which yes I used points to buy the item). 2 weeks later and about 10 phone calls to customer service, I still havent seen any of my points back in my account. I had over 200 dollars worth of points and customer service on the phone is telling me NO, i never had that. Yeah ok. Customer service then tells me the store agrees with her that it doesnt add up. Some employees at this shop really seemed to not know what they were doing. The transactions were screwed up, my returns were screwed up. Now I have to wait another week to hear from the audit team, which they will probably see how bad the store messed up and prob not reissue me the points. I guess I will have to find out in a week. But like I said, there are some employees who know what they are doing here.

I like this store because they have great prices. Their Forte brand is actually really decent and is much cheaper then other similar brand names. I have bought many items from them, just never a bike because I dont like their selection. I am an avid cyclist who rides every day. With this said, I will say that their customer service is not the best in terms of knowledge. Over the last year they have hired new crew members that are not the most knowledgeable in the technical specs of a bike. For this reason I suggest that for a purchase of a bike you go to an LBS (Local Bike Shop) that specializes specialty bikes. I guarantee that you will find a better deal. With this said, I do have to say that Matt (their mechanic) is probably the most experienced and knowledgeable employee there. He is great at what he does, and is always there to answer any questions I have. Just dont get mad when he cuts you short as he is really busy at times. Final thoughts... Pros - Awesome mechanic, cheap prices, great selection of products (particularly their Forte brand), and amazing return policy. Cons - Inexperienced floor sales team who sometimes does not acknowledge that you are there, even though you have walked in there like a thousand times.

As far as the service department, dont waste your time. For service, they are really backed up, takes a week to service your bike. Totally disorganized, one person has no idea what other is doing, talked to one of the service guys, arranged to drop off my bike a few days later for service, since he was busy and he said he doesnt even have room in the shop area. when I wanted to drop off my bike, nobody had any ideea, although I already filled in a service order. If they would have told me, I could have taken the bike to another shop (which I ended up doing) and was done same day. They totally wasted my time, going back and forth for nothing. Never going there again. There are other bike shops around where I actually enjoy going and I get good reliable and prompt service. If your just going to buy some bike stuff, they should be ok.

Asked the store about a specific bike "GIANT" Told me they dont carry the brand, so i asked if they had anything comparable...they flat out told me since they dont carry giant he doesnt evem know what im talking about....so i took my pocket full of money back to COATES in pomona. Nicer staff at coates.

The employees at the Ontario Performance Bicycle are great. I just purchased my second bike and they were just really good about explaining the sizing and fit of the bike. I did a lot of research online and thought I knew my size but they helped me to pick a bike that fit me. Thanks guys

The employees were rude, horrible attitudes. My wife and I felt uncomfortable asking questions about bike features. They acted like we were interrupting their day. Very unknowledgeable as well.

The store is excellent - very helpful staff and a Five Star Mechanic (kudos to Matt) with whom I know my bike is in amazing hands. The Breezer Beltway 11+ is phenomenal - rides like butter...
