I spend alot of money at JoAnns and Michaels. But unfortunately, I live closer to JoAnns. So that being said, it makes it more convient for me. However, Everytime I shop here I always leave upset. All the times I was upset I said nothing. But today I thought Id comment given the fact that they are just horrible. My grandpa passed away this Saturday you can only imagine how painful it is to shop for your sisters baby shower in the next 2 weeks.i purchased alot of things pulled out my coupon from home. Asked her if there was any way they can honor it. She replied,"No... there is no way sorry". I just looked her in the eye and said, "hmmm...okay." she didnt even say sorry about that nothing just rude and carried on talking to the other employee. I told my mom sorry they cant honor it. I know stores have policies Ive been working in the retail business for a long time now. But she couldve smiled and said something. But anyways....I go shop some more then as I finish I get ready to check out and some older lady gets Infront of me. The cashier says, "sorry... She was in line I have to help her first." So I wait while my mother and I watch her help the lady. She then tells the lady, "sorry about that....if you dont have your coupon ready. We have to put you aside and help other people were not allowed to do that." The lady just looks at her like...ummm okay?....she then tells her, "Just get the app it next time it will go straight to your phone then youll have coupons." the lady just starring at her. Then tells her twice to sign her signature after swiping her card and then says youll be all done." The lady still starring at her finally gets a little uneasy and tells her,"sweetie, it hasnt popped up yet for me to sign"..."Dont worry, Im trying to get out of here as soon as I can." with a bothered face the cashier then says, "Sorry it usually pops up right away." The cashier hands her the receipt and the lady says slowly with annoyance looks her right in the eyes..."You.....have...a ..good...day,..okay..." I thought to myself that was just horrible! How does someone who works in customer service? tell a customer? "Sorry, if youre not ready. We cannot wait for you. We are not allowed to do that." All the years Ive worked in customer service Ive learned that the customer! always comes first! So why on earth? Cant you wait? let alone! for an older woman thats having a little trouble finding a coupon? This place is awful Im telling you! Everytime! I come here! Im asking what coupons can I use. Then they throw me a pair of sizzors and tell me you have to cut it and then rush you the whole time youre checking out. I spent a few minutes of my night on which I never take my time to rate businesses on yelp or anything what so ever. But I thought you should know! I love JoAnns but if you want to be treated rude while shopping come to this location specifically. I hope the manager is different from the employees and does something about it. Note: its always the older staff thats rude for some reason. Never the young employees not all of JoAnns employees at this location is rude.

I have found hit and miss at this store! I am a complete DIY recycler so I dont buy much retail! I shop more in Home Depot! But I prefer Jo Annes over Michaels or other stores as they still have some supplies I need for machine embroidery. And new endeavors like jewelry making. But sewing among young is up! Like any service oriented store the first person to figure out customer service like the old days wins! Im 61! Many retail stores these days hire it seems friends of friends or friends of family with no one knowing the product line at all. Kids in bookstores know nothing about books and on and on. And like when I worked retail a shirt time the one poor smart person gets the brunt of the work! My other issue is fabric! I dont understand the rise in sports printed fleece?! I also have calculated the markup in material by used to minimum wage in 1973 to today! Its 800% markup or in other words this material that is inferior to what I bought then is 4 times as much to wages?! Whose getting that money or discount! I have changed to upcycling! Doing similar as I did back then. Making items from table cloths and curtains and mens shirts and lace cut off one too added to another! Good thing boho (hippie) is back in style!

Regular shopper at this store and its kept very clean and organized. My last visit however was very upsetting, to the point I dont think Ill return due to a staff employee. I was approached and asked if I she could help me, I replied no thanks Im just looking for some chain link (in the dollar bins near the bead section). The employee goes on to say, "Oh because I noticed youre opening the packages", in a tone as if she caught me stealing. Im almost 40years old and do not need to steal anything, especially some cheap beads from the dollar section. She walked away as I stood up, and I didnt see who she was but no one should be made to feel like this.

I found some of the materials I wanted & they were on sale 25% off so that was Great. The store was bigger than the 1 in La Verne so I didnt know where things where. I had 2 ask 4 help from 3 people & 1 didnt know where things where so he sent me in the wrong direction & later he said he didnt know what direction 2 send me. The other girl said she didnt know what I was looking 4 & referred me 2 the cutting table, she was new. The other girl I talked 2 helped me & cut my material & was very helpful & gave me the proper discounts & was so nice!!!!! The casher was also very fast & helpful & very nice!!!!! These 2 girls saved my trip!!!!!

This is how you get there coming from I-15 North: Take the 4th street exit. Go through the light. You are on Ontario Mills Drive. Take a left onto Rochester. Take a right onto Ontario Mills Parkway. Take a left onto Franklin Ave. Join the happy shoppers in the shady parking lot. I followed Google directions and took a tour of Ontario before I found the store. The store is like a combination Jo-ann and Michaels in that they have framing so that you can have your needlework professionally blocked.

I came a few minutes before closing, I knew exactly what I wanted and where to find it, but an incredibly rude associate directly turned me away at the door without even considering my request to quickly run in and grab what I needed. I said "I know exactly what I want -" and then he just cut me off and said "Ok, but were closed." And wouldnt let me inside. And it was still a few minutes before 7pm, when they were posted directly on there door to close! Im never going back to this store.

The store is really big however, not enough employees or They were all hiding out. I was walking around for a good 45 minutes and not once was I offered help. I finally went to the line with random stuff I picked up to make my trip worth it and the line was a good 20 people with only 2 cashiers working. I drove pretty far because the lady told me on the phone they had what I wanted yet I couldnt find it. Just horrible. I walked out leaving a good $70 behind.
