I felt lied to and deceived throughout the whole time I spent working for American Appliance. I answered a Craigslist post that stated "small parts assembly and customer service" then Im told its Kirby vacuum and I thought ok Id be working in a Kirby store. Nope on the first day we are told about the Kirby vacuum and its history which I thought ok.... Next thing you know Im being trained to do in home demo/sales. At first we are told it paid $500 a week then we are told we had to do 15 - 18 to get $500. Then we are told you may want to be a good at canvassing because it earns you more money. No its not an option you find out the first day after youre told to sign a optional contract and stuffed into a van and driven out to a location of their choice. Where youre dropped on the corner and told this is your street. Oh and if you dont do at least 12 demos you dont get paid. After spending 10 hours driven around, walking door to door, or hopefully going a demo we arent given any breaks or time to eat. Water is usually provided and youre fed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or if your lucky they stop at a fast food place. So you might get a burger or burrito and told to hurry and eat because youre either knocking on doors or doing a demo. Till they decided thats it for the day/night. Usually 12 to after 10 weekdays 9am - after 9pm weekends. Then comes the deceiving way they pay and dont tell you they deduct money for others knocking in your demos...... Then comes the buying of products for your demo bag and more only the very basic needs are free. The rest you buy from your distributor/the boss. The sad thing is I totally believe Kirby vacuums are the best.

Fantastic results readily apparent., Ive vacuumed carpets, used easy to "hook up" attachments for the vinyl blinds, tried out the hose with nozzle attachment for linoleum all with Positive results. Complimentary shampoo and furniture cleaning demo given by an obviously well trained rep, instantly noticeable. As for the relief of dust mite dander dread Out forever. with the Portable Mattress cleaner, no pain to not so strong joints and muscles.I am confident that this common problem, which affects the respiratory system dramatically, will soon be overcome. I am glad to know that the Kirby company will stand by its product. A word about "Nick ". If I were the CEO of a great American company , I would want to keep this adept, informative person as my right hand man! His care for the client attitude firmed my decision to purchase.

Your Kirby vacuum rep Mark Castillo just left with his crew boss after demonstrating one of your top Kirbys. I had been upfront that I wanted to see demo and learn cost, but was not interested in buying at present. We are on a set budget to coincide with retirement plans! Family member previously owned a Kirby for 35+ years and we can see why. We were very impressed with your product and very impressed with Mark - sociable, friendly, competent, serious, but relaxed. These guys are awesome. And we love our Kirby! We previous had another well known vacuum that raved it would lose suction but eventually it died. My family and my husbands family had their Kirbys for years and they worked great. Now we have one of our own and look forward to having great cleaning power for years to come.
