I dont know if theyre lazy, or simply unprofessional, or even STUPID! I was told yes that they took my insurance, by the way my insurance is better than a congressmans or senators, but when I got there I was told I would have to bill my insurance myself! I said I would do it this time but NEVER EVER again. Went back 10 months later since my insurance resets every 10 months and I qualify for another $3,500, in eyeglasses and contacts benefit for myself, and another $3,500 for each person on my policy, and at ZERO cost to me. I called on phone and was told that YES, this time THEY would bill my insurrance and there would be ZERO our of pocket expenses for me! Son of a gun, once again they tried to pull a fast one and make me bill my insurrance myself. I told them they were friggn crazy and it was not going to happen, PERIOD! They complained that they had already did exam etc. I said thats your tough luck, I WAS OUT A DAY WORK AND PAY, SO I GOT THE WORST OF THEIR LIE! They said they would not give me my exam results or prescription then. I said fine by me, thats their right! They made all sorts of hollow threats as I laughed at them for their pathetic efforts to scare me! . They finally said give us your insurrance cards. To which I said go to hell NO WAY, I was not even going to trust them anymore. I left and went to traditional eye doctor. EVERYTHING went smooth as silk. They treated me like a KING! AND I AM SO VERY SATISFIED LIKE A CUSTOMER/PATIENT SHOULD BE! So folks, just say NO to lenscrafters in Lakewood CA! YOUR EYES WILL THANK YOU! Besides, that first time I went there, my lenses were off by just a tiny bit which they refused to correct without additional payment! WOW! How have these fools stayed in business for so long. After doing some homework, I find out people hate this loser company NATIONWIDE! Lesson: I guess sometimes you just have to live and learn!

I have been discriminated at this place by a lady named da shawna and an older lady named Jennifer , they both mistreated me based on my appearance based on the color of my skin , based on my accent , based on the fact that I have a colostomy bag and maybe they did not want someone like me in their store spreading bad odor. They did not treat me like a human being, They made me feel like as if I was worth much less than them. They refused service on me even though I had an appointment, they cancelled my appointment and preferred to give that time to a pretty nice looking Caucasian lady who had just walked in. As I walked out the store one of them kind of laughing said to the other , "he doesnt belong here" I called customer care but I never received an apology at least.

Let me start by saying I have been going there a few years now and pretty satisfied overall. Today I had to go back for a free repair. I have had issues with this particular design and decided to buy another pair while I was there to purchase some glasses for my kid, I was prepared to pay close to 500.00 for the additional pair. Instead the manager took back the glasses that was being repaired and did an exchange. They rather have me with a product that worked for me than for me to leave unsatisfied. My kid got his glasses, I got my sunglasses and saved $500.00 cost of an additional pair. I had already decided to take my dad there and buy him a pair as a gift. I am going to feel really good taking him to people who I know will taker good care of him.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT come to this LensCrafters. I had to deal with the high and mighty Aidra who is clearly not as smart as she thinks she is. "I dont think you know how your insurance works. Let me explain it to you because I do know how it works, I have been here for six years." I knew exactly what she was talking about and she would have overcharged me if I continued to talk to her. She is rude, condescending and to top it off she has an annoying voice. The employee that was super nice and helpful was Dianna. I would be a returning customer just for her but because of Aidras poor customer service and attitude, I will not be coming back. If you like being mistreated and overcharged, by all means go to Aidra for all your lenscrafting needs.

This was my second time at this LensCrafters location. I just went in for an eye exam and it was easy-peasy, even though their computers were down and they had to write everything down by hand. The doctor I had this time around was really cool and chatty and we ended up talking a lot about Vietnamese sandwiches, lol. They do try to sell you glasses at the end but they dont get all obnoxious about it. I brought in an old pair of Ray Bans Id gotten at another LensCrafters that I wanted new lenses for and they were able to do that while I was doing my eye exam. Really nice friendly people here--made my annual eye exam a breeze. Also, even though I dont have vision insurance, Im able to get a decent discount with my AAA membership.

Terrible. Eye doctor was great, rest of staff only interested in upselling us. Could not find my husbands insurance, I was passed off to FOUR different sales people, all of whom I had to re-explain what i was doing there,got billed me for a procedure I didnt actually have done and got into a fight w/ me about said procedure at the cash register (I would maybe want to have it one day so that were charging me for it now to be helpful ?!?!....I dont know, I just gave up)....the conversation dragged on so long I just paid the extra $40 rather than have to spend another minute there (over two hours all told just for a PRESCRIPTION). Will never go back, will never go to another Lenscrafters again.

I have been wearing glasses/contacts for years and have never went through this much bs and procrastination....its a ridiculous process....just give me my damn prescription and order my contacts ...why the hell do I have to keep coming back for you to authorize my prescription and supposedly make sure they fit if I been wearing the same brand for 15 years? They basically force you to buy glasses ...never ever coming back again! Like I have all the time in the world to keep returning to get my prescription that I paid for...bout raise hell up in here!

I got glasses from there a year ago and I went to see if I can simply replace the lenses because there lenses was defective and peeling off even tho there is nothing on them for them to peel away , there is no anti scratch or anti glare , nothing for them to peel and there isnt scratches on them just simply peeling ? They wanted to charge me 107 with a 50% lenses it was 200$ full price just to replace there defectiveness , peace of shit place

The staff here does not have the knowledge to repair the hinge of the glass which is stuck. It is very disappointing when they lied and stated the spring from our glasses is missing. Instead they wanted to sale us another pair of glass for a couple more hundreds dollars. Rather than doing a thorough inspection of the issue. Which is interesting you would think people who work in a glass store should know a thing or two about it.
