I recently went to Lens Crafters on Huntington In Monrovia at the suggestion of my girlfriend who said that it is the ONLY one to go to. We, along with many others, were looking to take advantage of their 50% off lenses sale. I was amazed at the awesome savings but even more impressed with the customer service and genuine care I observed in their staff. After spending some time with Mark Elliott, Associate Number 534457, I can see why she was so insistent that we go to THIS Lens Crafters store. Obviously one of their top people, Mark struck me as not a pushy sales person but rather someone incredibly helpful and concerned about getting me into the right frames for ME. Sporting very cool frames himself, Mark had tremendous insight about everything from the way the frames were constructed to what frames worked with my facial type the best. I quickly realized why I never go eyeglass shopping alone, as Mark brought me scores of glasses to meet each requirement I had whether glasses for the computer or glasses needed to make out the menu in a dark restaurant. While I know I wasnt Marks only customer (by a long shot!) he made me feel like I was. He was patient while I took a lot of time (it was a lot of time trust me) making my ultimate decision. And then in a demonstration of the type of customer service you rarely see, Mark worked with his colleagues and store manager to troubleshoot a way I could get BOTH glasses I needed while staying to the budget Id established. Ive already planned my next trip to Lens Crafters where Ill be buying two more pairs. And actually, isnt that what great customer service is all about...a win/win?

Slow undermanned staff. Defensive female floor manager. Planned obsolescence alive and well in their products. They intentionally neglect to inform customers that leaving their glasses in a hot car will cause the lenses to craze over as if they were all scratched up. WHEN I mentioned the crazing issue to the woman floor manager she replied sniffily, "Well we dont know your lifestyle sir." As if driving in the summer is some crazy lifestyle. The lenses were less than one year old and I had to replace them despite always being very careful not to drop or scratch them..Lens crafters is a nefarious outfit who has worked to make optometry seem like a complex science. It is not... and lenscrafters should be ashamed of over profiting from the poor of sight. blechh blechh

They care about getting your money, then from there it is on you to ensure that you get actually get your glasses. I had ordered 2 pairs of glasses that I was told would be in 10 days. Two weeks later, I called back and was told they were backordered and I would receive a call when they had arrived. One month later, i again called and was told that both pairs would arrive that same day. I went into the store and was then told they were permanently backordered, and that i could choose a different pair because they had already made the lenses (which were not to be made until I had given the OK on the frames). Overall, their is miscommunication and a general disconcern for the customer at this location.

AWFUL!!! I called ahead and made my appointment. Receptionist took my insurance information and said she would have everything checked out by the time I came in. when I arrived she said they didnt think they accepted my insurance. Instead she tried to get mgr to pay more using a "discount plan". When I told her I would have appreciated a call notifying me of this information she said I was at fault because I moved my appointment and they werent able to get the information quickly enough! Yet all it took her was about five minutes to check the system while I stood there with my children. AWFUL SERVICE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Misleading, disingenuous if not downright false advertising. Glasses in an hour.... NOT! perhaps 2 out of one hundred prescriptions. They never have the "lenses". They make you wait for 45minutes to tell you it is not possible. Yes they are polite, but, I would rather have "rude" and efficient than "nice" and useless!

You expect great service even if its over the phone. I just spoke with a person giving me attitude. She didnt want to answer my questions. Ill take my service elsewhere thank you very much! Its not very settling to see other bad reveiws either =/ .

Same as other reviews. Just keeps getting worse and worse. Horrible customer service. Got much worse in last year. Rude and bad service. Good combination.

My family has been going to this location for over 20 years! Even when we are on an out of state gig, they always come thru.
