Bait & switch. Misleading. Roped me in with promises of “Free Next day Delivery - No minimum order.” Told them I would give them a shot if they could deliver to me the large size Yuban Coffee & Coffeemate Creamer I get at Costco for the same price or less. They delivered, no problem. Never told me it would ever be a problem. So I try to place a re-order when we run out and suddenly they never stocked that item and were only doing me a favor by going to Costco to get it and deliver it to me. If I want that kind of service again, I should make it worth their while with bigger orders. Gee, what about the “No minimum order” advertised? Later I place 2 small orders, both less than $20.00 each, and get them delivered next day free, no problem, just as advertised. But when I place a 3rd order for $38.86 it doesn’t arrive the next day. When I call to ask, “Where is my order,” they say they mailed it! What?! My staff was relying on that order. Besides, their advertising said “Next Day DELIVERY.” Oh, but what they really wanted was free next day delivery only to customers within a 10 mile radius of their business, otherwise it’s a $40 minimum order requirement. If I don’t meet their minimum, I get a mailing that doesn’t arrive the next day. To add insult to injury, my order was only $1.14 shy of their minimum (which they had advertised was never required) – and they never told me! They just didn’t want to deliver because I wasn’t a big enough customer. They never said up front that I ever had to be a big enough customer. Thoughtless, insensitive liars! Do not do business with these people. We’ve been with Staples this whole time, and they’ve been very good to us, no matter how difficult our account was. Even Newport Stationers had to admit that Staples gave us damn good corporate pricing. And they’ve always been upfront with us, delivered as promised, and made up for mistakes. Staples, NOT Newport Stationers.
