Horrible service: I bought an office desk yesterday from the Irvine store and then went back to buy the matching chair. First of all, the price of the chair that I was interested in was marked wrong and it was damaged. I asked the sales person if he could check with some other store for the availability of the same chair. When he checked his system, it showed that there should be four more chairs in the stock room. The salesman went back to the stock room and came back after ten minutes to inform me that he could not find them. I asked the sales man if he could special order from another store. There were four sales people on the floor and not a single custmer beside me. No one new how to place a special order, or delivery procedure. Frusterated with the deplorable service and lack of knowledge, I walked out of the store after waisting one hour. I will never ever go back to OFFICE MAX store again. With this kind of service they wont be around much longer.

Ridiculous!!! They dont know where theyre stock is, they dont have all of their products in their system, and their employees dont know how to help you! I had the absolute worst experience with Office Depot/Office Max but especially with this location. I needed to make a return and had the receipts, but because the item "wasnt in their system," they did not want to give me a refund. The associate kept saying that they did NOT carry the item I was trying to return. After 40 minutes, speaking to an assistant manager, calling the 1-800 number, and calling the manager on her day off, they said they would not refund my purchase. Luckily, I walked over to the product wall of pens/pencils and found the item they were claiming "not to carry." I ultimately got my refund but I should not have had to go through all that. This was definitely the worst retail experience Ive ever had! I will NEVER AGAIN spend another dollar at Office Depot/Office Max!

"I have shopped here for about 5 years buying office supplies for my small business. My experience was fine until last time I went in. I called ahead to see if they had a part I was looking for. The person answering the phone said they had 5 in stock. I went down to the store to pick one up and no one could find what I had previously asked for. I asked to speak with the manager to see if he could price match a similar item for me since they had screwed up and told me they had something they didnt. The manager (Brandon) said that it wasnt his fault they told me they had it when they didnt because he didnt tell me, someone else did. I asked him if there was anything he could do for me and he said no. I have called the District Manager, David Brownstien, every day for about a week straight to relay my experience, but he has yet to call me back. I guess OfficeMax isnt too concerned with losing customers."

On 09-24-15, at 8:40 a.m., I called to inquire whether they had a coupon for color copies. The female employee who answered the phone said they have a coupon for $15 off if you spend $50 in copy services. I then asked her how much it cost for a color copy. She said shed have to transfer me to the Copy/Print Center. After being on hold for 7 minutes, I remained on hold but called her back from another phone to explain that I was still on hold for the Copy/Print Center. She said shed run over to the Copy/Print Center to see what was going on. Upon her doing so, a male employee finally answered. Not only should the first female employee who answered the phone have known off the top of her head how much they charge per page for a color copy, but the Copy/Print Center should be answering their calls in a timely manner. Who trains these people?

I went to have an ink cartridge refilled and it was about an hour before closing on a Sunday. They told me they could not fill it now because they were closing in an hour and there were other customers at the store (I counted about 5) and would have to leave it and come back tomorrow. Well I drove about 15 minutes to get to the store and would now have to come back. They told me that they would call me first thing in the morning when they were completed. They never called. I shared my frustration but they did nothing to remedy the situation. It is hard to believe that they do not have a staff member that can take 10 min to refill a cartridge. Very disappointed in the service. I rarely shop there because of this.

Terrible customer service. While I am waiting in line cashier Melisa keeps ignoring me while chat with another women about personal matters.I had to leave without making my purchase and this still did not bother her as she watch me leave. They need to get their act together otherwise they will go out of business like many others.

I went in yesterday to purchase a printer. They were very nice and they accommodated me to whatever my needs were. I purchased a printer and ended up purchasing paper and ink because I was so pleased with their availability and customer service. Their manager Nick also matched my price of ink that I brought in from another store.

Very little selection. The WORST thing about the Jamboree location is the people. The cashiers are so unfriendly! Some of them are just RUDE. They dont greet you and make it clear they dont like their customers. The guys at the printing desk are the ABSOLUTE WORST.Not going back there again.

This used to be my go to place but seems its fallen off a bit. It was hard to find the binding paper im used to buying it wasnt on the shelves and the staff had to go check inventory to find it. Also the paper im used to buying here was out of stock.

Came in and was told to wait for a ridiculous amount of time - 25 min - to just pick up my equipment b/c only 1-2 people are "authorized" to help. Staff just took their time, no sense of urgency, and with an attitude of "not my issue".

I wasnt too happy the last time i paid a visit to the location it seems a few of the items that we needed were out of stock. It was hard to find an associate to help us and while we did end up finding what we needed it was a challenge.

Saw the bad reviews, but came anyway cause I needed folders; came in expecting bad service, but it was actually excellent, someone asked if I needed help and walked me exactly to where I needed, and they were very nice!

Staff is Very Helpful as soon as you walk in the Door they ask you if you need Help .Office Max is Very Professional and Courteous and very involving in their Customers I am grading them 4 **** Stars
