Outward appearance presents a lovely store but unfortunately management of expiration dates is non existent. They must just stock new items in front of the old ones as over the years of shopping there I have thrown away hundreds of dollars worth of groceries before I started checking dates on everything. For example I purchased a jar of Open Nature Peanut Butter and when opening it found it so dried out I couldnt stir it so I looked for the date and it had expired 7 months earlier so it had to have been in the shelf for over a year with no one checking dates. The worst department is the lunch meat area. I have never bought any that I didnt find at least one or two packages past the expiration and one day I took 7 packages of the brand I buy up to the checkstand as they were all over a month past expiration. The most costly was when I started cooking classes and bought one of just about every spice known to man to fill my cupboard. 2 months later I started to open one and noticed it had a date and it was over a year past expiration. I took all 12 little bottles out and everyone was expired with the oldest having expired in 2014, almost 2 years past. Knowing they have such poor product management I have stopped buying from the deli counter and never shop with out my reading glasses to check dates. That adds a lot of extra time to my shopping days. I also eat a lot of ice cream and last week when going to the ice cream isle I found a very large cart that hadnt been put away just sitting outside the cases so I felt one of the half gallons and it was completely melted and no employees in sight so I told the checker and he called a kid over and told him to go put the cart back in the freezer. My guess is not too long after that someone probably took that same cart and stocked all the refrozen ice cream which would explain why I sometimes get containers that instead of creamy ice cream I find it full of ice crystals and have to toss it. There is no department that I shop in that I havent found expired items so they obviously dont teach any of the stockers that when stocking you pull the old items to the front and put the new items behind and in the process you check dates on the older items and remove any that are expired. So lovely store but to avoid any bouts of food poisoning check dates on everything!!

This particular store location is where my best experience resonates when compared to all the other several safeway stores Ive been too. How is this store location different? Its different when it comes to its gourmet-Deli section. All of the precooked goods, salads, bag lunch sandwiche, sushi (which the lovely ladys that work within let me special order my sushi roll preferences and dont charge me extra and so fresh!) Instead of going to eat fast food, I go here to eat my lunch or dinners and its healthy, digests smoothly, fresh ingredients, and easy-to-cook dinner complete gourmet meals. However whenever Im out of town and go for the same good but at another safeway store, there same deli sections are dissapointing and food is not to par . Also the self serve cash registers create a fast transaction. The only con is with the aisle spacing that is just fitted enough only for your shopping cart to maneuver around store and you constantly have to excuse yourself throughout shopping because in order to stroll for items you have to walk right in front of a persons view while theyre looking at items on a shelf. Overall, Great deli selection but bad store design that was poorly planned for shoppers through its inefficient store layout and nonspacious floor plan.

Me gusta la calidad de todos sus productos encuentras de todo, los precios son variables hay muchas ofertas las personas no siempre son amables es algo que no me agrada, una vez se me cayó un shampoo y una trabajadora me regaño fue un accidente pero creo q muchas veces las personas están estresadas... El mánager de caja es un sangron saluda a medio mundo pero a los hispanos para saludarnos mira el piso nunca te ve a la cara habla perfecto Español pero disculpen el no te habla en español sólo en Inglés...

There is, Never anyone working after 4pm the lines are around the corner. There is only one consistent person who helps no matter what and thats Keisha, she be at the foothill location and the Jackson store location. Other then her yall need to get some new scheduling managers or something. Cause Ive already been putting her name out to a few of the Coorprate offices Ive managed and I know its just a matter of time before that lady leaves all that stress and No appreciate by staff. You can appreciate someone if your making them work without proper staffing and or safety!! NO WAY!! Maybe yall should just close down a few stores and just manage whats left cause at this point Safeway couldnt even hold a candle to Luckys PERIOD!!! HOWEVER SAFEWAY HAS ALWAYS HAD PRIME LOCATION.

Everything on the shelves is expired, sometimes by several months. In fact at Easter they had eggs from the previous year out with a 25% off sticker on them. Not kidding. Theyre always out of stock of distilled water, they dont have a gluten free section. I live on the same block so I kept going out of convenience since I pass it daily, but today after a year without incident they told me to leave because I had a tiny dog with me. I always have had him with me. Employees have commented on him tons of times but now suddenly its "leave". Im mad but not sorry to be rid of that place in the least.

I went to go buy cookies and I came across a rudeass worker name Frankly or something. I was at self checkout and decided to use a coupon. She said it was copied. Okay, so i stay calm. I cancel my items and she takes my items without asking me how rude. So, I decided to go to the cashiers and check out my coupon but my goodness that lady called the cashier and told not to take the coupon. Now the coupon, this coupon did not have a hologram, It was a manufactured coupon. It had a dotted "void" and it would only appear it it was copied. Jesus, she needs to learn how to work or read coupon!

Every time I shop here I always kick myself because it doesnt matter if it is 3:00pm or 11:30 at NIGHT there is always a line 4 customers deep. They never staff enough checkers. This fact might not be as frustrating if the few they staffed worked quickly, but they dont. There is only one lady that has a sense of urgency about her, the rest move like turtles, even though ALL the customers are complaining about how long it is taking the entire time they are standing in line. I rarely give bad reviews, but, I hate this store.

I love this Safeway because its close too home and you dont get hit up for money by a bunch of bums like you do at Lucky nearby. I love the Safeway app and Just for U savings. It adds up to a lot of money. They always have what I need, food wise and a Great beer/wine and liquor selection too. The store is clean and its got Redbox and Coinstar and Amazon locker. This Safeway has everything. Best of all are the employees. They Manager is obviously very good at their job. That is why I love this Safeway.
